Mapping sample play in sample deck

    Hi everyone.
    I'm using traktor Pro 2 with the sample decks.
    i've loaded a short random sound in sample deck 1 (C) and I just want to be able to map the "play" button underneath, to a note on my OXYGEN8 midi keyboard instead of having to hit play with the mouse.
    I've tried to map the "sample play" or "sample trigger" controls to C3 on my keyboard, and when I hit the note after assigning it, I get:
    "Deck needs a track to copy to sample slot"
    with "slot start/stop" it simply doesn't work.

    Could someone tell me what is the proper control and proper way to do that?.. it seems so simple but I can't find the solution anywhere.
