maschine 1.5 reading midi messages from Logic

I now have the 1.5 Beta version of Maschine and have succeeded in exporting midi into Logic 8 (although I still can't get the drag and drop to work).

Unfortunately I can't seem to find the option that toggles between internal sequencing in the maschine software and reading from the midi messages on the Logic 8 piano roll. This means that Maschine is doubling up on notes and distorting heavily.

Can someone tell me how to toggle between the two modes (similar to the way this is done on Ultrabeat's pattern mode button)? I'm sure I'm missing something really obvious...

 

Actually, it's not really that obvious. It's kinda like a duct-tape style fix. So, instead of just hitting the power button, like in Ultrabeat...in Maschine, you have to have an empty pattern selected. So when Logic starts to play the sequencer, the maschine is tecnically still playing, but it's playing an empty track, therefore no longer doubling up on the notes.

 

Wow, that's ghetto-rig status.

 

How did you 'export' it. I thought you could only drag an drop midi?
