sorry for my "too direct answer".
simply don't understand it when NI brings out something amazing like they are doing right now.

(and I can't sleep and have to wake up tomorrow early to work :()

Any way to get this to work for 3rd party Kontakt libraries if you re-save them to K5 format and add to quickload?
Or is it only for factory presets.

Would be really nice to have this implementation with 3rd party plugins...
Actually I work with just a couple of NI plugins :-(

So, what we are saying here is that komplete 8 can't really be installed until 1.7 is available for machine?

    so confusing!

no, there saying 1.7 will give you all the browsing options etc, you can still use everything in komplete but 1.7 will tie it together nicely liek in the video all the presets at your fingertips,

    Exciting times ahaead.

Agreed about exciting, but I thought a couple of people are getting crashes in maschine (some of those that got their earlier)

Like I said, I confused......it's really hard to keep up with everything....I'll keep trying.

    Thanks NI :)

Komplete 8 will work without 1.7, but it's only with 1.7 that the presets will be "centralized" into the Maschine browser.

You can still load K8 products in 1.6 as it is now, but once you update to 1.7, everything will be added to the Maschine browser in banks and categories.

Monday will be here soon ;)

Ah! I see. Well, maybe next time.

Still, I do like my JP8V - just wish I had the real thing to go along with Maschine! :D

Did anyone notice that there was no sub-categorisations of the bass sounds in the video example?

It just went Absynth > Bass

I thought they would have properly used three levels of tags ie:

    Absynth > Bass > Dirty

    or

    Reaktor > Strings > Acoustic

    etc.

You know, the same level of tagging structure that is used in Maschine.

I didn't realise that you go into keyboard mode by pressing SHIFT + PAD MODE - I've always used the button on the left screen of the hardware.

Glad I watched, just for that.

    Thanks Billy!

What would the chances be of NI distributing a user utility that allows implementation and sharing of pre-set tags and macros of NI and 3rd party products which then could be shared among the community? Or am I being selfish and getting ahead of myself?

Being mostly a guitar player (er, well, as much as I can be  ) I'm alarmed by how much CPU GR5 takes (even when the hi res is off)

Compared to GR4, the lite reflector, fast comp and vintage verb add MUCH cpu use and this is an issue in maschine since it's not multicore compatible :(

I'm not a Maschine owner yet, but looking to buy very soon and I must say as a Komplete 6 owner/user, this new update looks pretty redundant, with no mention as to whether previous Komplete versions are integrated, this is looking be the case of, "if you want Komplete integration with Maschine then you have to buy the upgrade aswell", so thats £500 for Maschine and another £170 for Komplete 8 upgrade....? hmm, anyone know if this is true?

Thinking about it, it would be too massive an oversight.

If someone say buys massive on its own and not komplete, it only makes sense that all the massive patches would be browsable in 1.7. So I guess once 1.7 arrives updating your versions of the various synths you bought in whatever version of komplete you have should do the job Im guessing.

nah idont mess with ni plugins heavy all i have is maschine and a few other random flugs and vst's, i think massive is dope but this update dont really add anything interesting or exciting for me.

but i aint gonna down ni for that cos some peeps will find this useful so good for them, but we were spoiled with 1.5 and 1.6.

so will look towards 1.8 or version 2.0 for my mp3 support, lol and all the other for timestretch.
