Maschine 1.7/Komplete 8 integration video

in the "on the record sessions" NI people talk about major and minor updates.
They say... in next major update time stretch will be implemented

this is a minor update... but I am happy with it because it will create a bigger distance between my computer and my maschine

almost no reason to use the mouse

 

I think this is a major update? 1.6.2 -> 1.7
1.8 will also be a major update? 1.7.1 is a minor update?
Is this correct?

I only have one question; If I update to Lion OS X on my mac and get the update on maschine will it have any problems because I heard that they was suppose to fix it? Cause I know ppl had trouble before and I never updated my OS because of that

 

What's so wrong with making their own product compatible first? People always have something to complain about. I'm sure it's not too far away...

That would be great actually. Surely you didn't expect FREE updates for life.

Bottom line is when they give us 'A' we're going to ask for 'B'. Requests are one thing, but some people are being ridiculous.

 

Browsing third party plug presets directly will never happen.

I'm pretty sure this functionality exists in Kore. I think you just have to import and tag the presets manually, right?

 

there is a reason for that.... first off. you CAN browser third party presets from the controller... you just have to save them first. the problem is that not all third party presets are set up the same way. if you mass import third party presets you could end up with pages of junk that isn't correct due to the way the presets are in the plugin. but if you save em manually it is all working fine.

 

Please tell me they threw in saving samples with groups! lol god such a small piece of software code to write here. I think this update will be cool for users who work with maschine in standalone and use NI software.. but there's a ton more users who use maschine exclusively in a daw, and things like transport control are far more important..

really hope they get moving on to 2.0 to see what things they are gonna be able to offer with extended sampling and midi options.. NI just anaylze a mp 4000,n perhaps jj's os for ideas? like joe said though,I'm all for OS development, but I just think bread n butter before bling is far more important..

That can already be done and it doesn't require multicore support.

 

Can Komplete 7 work with MASCHINE 1.7?

 

Working just fine for me. No issues as of yet. Rescan all of your directories in Maschine preferences, and you should be fine.

 

How about better DAW intergration or improved sequencing (linear) in standalone mode. And improved FX.
