Maschine 2.0 Feature Requests

+1 for audio tracks. I really need those.

 

- headphone out for prelisten pads/groups while other groups are playing
- vintage mode on groups (and not only pads)
- more than 2 aux out

 

1. MIDI CC Automation for extern Equipment and import MIDI-Files
2. Master-Track inkl. mute, automation etc. as an Instance over the Scenes
3. Wave-Track to Recording long Wavefiles (No trigger with a Note)

this already exists and is dependent on your sound card. cue in live works the same way,

just set group to out respective to sound card for headphones. some let you select that, some just parallel main output, if your headphones parallel your main out on your soundcard, set maschines master to out 2 (3L and 4R) and use out 1/main for the cue/headphone bus,

now when you want to cue a pad or group, set the sound or group to the headphone out bus you just created, you can change this on the fly with the controller using the first rotary knob when modules is not selected. for example, select group with a - h buttons, then select group or sound (if you just want to preview one pad) and select the headphone bus.

perhaps what maschine reaaly needs is the ability to name the buses so you could name that bus "headphones" and the main as main.. as well as name the sends... that would make all of this much clearer.

 

Other than some of the great suggestions above:

1. Optional latency compensation for recording external signals, using the sync trigger method, so that loops are cut neatly by default.

2. Be able to address the maschine and the maschines midi inputs/outputs seperately from within a DAW host. I beleive this is only a problem on PCs as MACs can already do this.

3. Make it possible for plugins to send midi out, like reaktor ensembles that create midi that kind of thing. Maybe a big ask compared with the other two.

I think the first two should be quite easy, particularly the first one. Sidechain and multicore are my fave of those already suggested of course.

a better midi-editor (seqeunzer with copy/paste/duplicate, octaves/ curves, key-shortys for modi

"scaled" padpages, which give us 2 oktaves at one page, for all used scales (maj, min, dorian, myx, lyd...).
and of course automatically remapped/transposed so that pad 1 allways start with the selcted key. and pad 9 with the selcted 1 octave above and pad 16 2 octaves above. please hold it symmetrically and dont start the new octave at pad 8! pad 8 could use for octave up/dwn with shift)
and of course the seqeunzer shows per option only scale-notes with highlighted keynote (weaker highlighed triads).

- line generators with mathematically algoritmen. using scales and music theroy and common rhytmically elements. eg: use only triads, fill 4/4 offbeatt, "quantize" to tripletts/dots "quantize" chords to tech-house "V 03", fill between-steps in the bass-line, "rhytm" the line to style ala XY...
- easy scene progression tool: transpose all meleodic stuff from eg I-V-IV-I to I-ii-vi-I for all clips in that scene (except the drums, so we need a differenter for this)
-dynamicly-helper (toggle velocity; accent key-note/triads or inverted this, rhytmically velocity-lines...)
