Solved Maschine 2.13 - Knobs Not Responding Correctly With Waves Plug-ins (MAS2-28665)

Hi everyone, I have a big problem with the Maschine 2 software (which I use daily) since the new update to version 2.13. First of all: I'm using a MacBook Pro 13inch 16Gb RAM from 2018.

Issue: When I'm using Maschine I can no longer control any Knobs (Volume, Cutoff and so on) properly with my mouse. When I click on them and try to turn the knobs/buttons they start to stutter and glitch. I already reinstalled Maschine 2 and tried it again. Still the same issues... If anyone may help me I would be very thankful since I'm using the Maschine Software pretty often without a Maschine hardware.

Is there any possibility to downgrade Maschine to version 2.12.1?

Hi Jakob Zimmermann, does it happen with all instruments ? Or specific ones ?
Is it when tweaking from plugin UI or from maschine UI ?
Are you on BigSur ?

 

I'm on Catalina. Its with both, Maschine UI as well as plugin UI. Every UI knob u could possibly tweak glitches (example: I go to sound and then to the tune knob to tweak it and then it starts to glitch and won't really work properly (it changes the tune then more at random than controlled))

 

I’m getting similar on imac catalina. If I adjust a plugin from the ui the controls have a mind if their own. If I bring up the plugin itself, it works fine. Obviously I can’t do that for internal effects. I’m just a hobbyist so no big deal for me. I use Maschine standalone and have the current version

Using Maschine 2.13.0 on a Macbook Air with Catalina 10.15.7 with 13" retina screen. I'm running in native resolution. I cannot reproduce this issue, UI controls work as expected.

 

this problem only in saved projects that were saved in version 2.12.1. when you open a new project everything works well, but when you open an old project it doesn't work.

 

I cannot reproduce it, also not with older projects. Maybe you can share a project for us to reproduce the issue on our side?

 

Nope. I tried to open a new blank project without a template or anything on and the same bug appears there as well...

 

what resolution are you running at? Is it the native resolution or are you scaling the display?

 

Native resolution. So Maschine software looks a bit blurry on my MacBook display.

i really tried to reproduce it, looked at the video, tried to re-open a 2.12.1 project, did the same action, don't see this behaviour. I don't know what's different though.

We're going to use this thread for the Maschine Knob bug. Please make sure to stay on topic for this one.
I've edited the title to reflect the the bug title and number so it's easier for us to track and everyone here to add feedback or get updates

 

For those who have the problem:
- are you using VST or AU plugins in Maschine? Or a mixture?
- are you always loading sounds (NKS preset) via the Browser or are you loading a plugin and then choose a preset in the plugin?
- do you have any 3rd party plugins installed?
- what happens if you disable all AU/VST plugins?

 

I’m using vsts only. I load sounds via both, browser and in the Plugin itself. 3rd party plugins are installed and are in use. If I load a new project without any vsts loaded the problem/bug still occurs...

 

also vst only. many different 3rd party plugins, but only Waves Plugin trigger the issue on my system. it persists until i close Maschine and restart with a absolute empty project.
