    Hey Lowpass,

strange, could it be because im on an older rig? although its not that old

    late 2015 i7 chip. 10.15.6 OSX,

but still it was working before and since updating it isn't.... the knobs are smooth when I use the mk3 controller, so in theory should be able to work, but jump around when using the mouse on software.......

i dont have any waves plug-ins at all. but I was getting the graphics thing with FabFilter Saturn until I updated the software to 1.22, so could it be a similar thing?

getting the twitchy knobs when using Kontakt as well

    Don't think so, i'm running 10.15.7 OSX

It might have something to do with a certain plugin combi. Try disabling all the plugins by unchecking the checkboxes in the settings > plug-ins, and see if it helps. If so, enable each plugin one by one and try to find which is causing issues.

I submitted a request about this. Their solution was to delete all my user data in the applications support folder. This effectively deleted all my user presets and did not fix the issue. I've updated to 2.14.1 and am still having this problem. I really don't know where to go from here. At this point I've resorted to relying on my controller, since the knobs in my UI continue to glitch out.

I contacted Waves on this and they don’t have any ETA on when there will be fix. It’s really frustrating that this bug exists and there doesn’t appear to be a solution. Do I stop using Waves or Maschine?!

As a double frustration, even if Waves did come up with a fix because I’m using V9 plug-ins on an unsupported system (Catalina), they wouldn’t help anyway.

I can’t think of any other manufacturer that makes you pay like this to continue to use a plugin you’ve already purchased (Soundtoys, Eventide, u-he, Valhalla, and more…all fine!).

Waves really blows. Fine enough sound quality on their plugs but support is whack and amounts to sub model. Pay for maintenance update? yeah naw....Ovox was the last Waves plugin I'll ever buy. Now I know why all of their stuff is on perpetual "sale". They are all worth a $30 rental for the year that they'll be supported.

Not sure I believe that it is Waves fault. I had the issue on brand new projects with out any Waves plugs. If I open a project with waves plugs then open a brand new one without waves plugs it still happens. Note, doesn't happen in other DAWs.

The narrative that it is a Waves issue has me afraid (moderately certain) that NI is doing nothing to fix it though the common denominator is Maschine.

Updated to 2.14.2 this evening, started a new project with everything as expected. Loaded Waves Abbey Road Plate and the issue started.
I used Mac Time-Machine to drop back to 2.14.1 - the new project would not load but the knob movement via the mouse was correct.
I then time-machined back to 2.14.2 loaded the project back, removed the Waves plug-in and saved. Then Time-Machined in a fresh version of 2.14.2 loaded the project and is now working correctly.
Obviously now I cannot use few my Waves Plug-ins in Maschine... not essential, but I'll need to keep that 2.14.1 version of Maschine around for those old projects that do!

Having the same issue here, no plugins loaded, just the NI sampler with a .wav sample loaded up. My Maschine MK3 will not connect properly either (have to restart multiple times and sometimes even then the pads won't work, or it just won't connect etc.), and my Mikro MK2 play and record buttons don't work so it's a bad combination of issues to have. Hope there's a fix soon, what a major bug!

I have started experiencing this problem last week while I was on Mojave, I am now on Catalina and It's the same issue. Nothing I've tried seems to fix it including reinstallation.

Hey there, this doesn't seem to be related to the specific bug of this thread that only concerns issues with Waves plug-ins. If you have other issues please get in touch with my colleagues here and they can help you fix the issue or find out if it's a bug : http://bit.ly/NIsupport_maschine

OhulahanBass I would not have written this in a public forum if it wasn't verified. We're in contact with Waves, unfortunately, there is nothing we can do on our end. Please feel free to contact Waves support if you don't believe my words.

I'm getting this problem as well. Quite annoying! I'll try to get in touch with waves, the more they hear from us, the better, I suppose...

Weird: started Maschine stand alone, it scaned all my plugin updates (hadn't opened it in stand alone in a while...), worked fine, and now it works perfectly in Logic, no more knob weirdness. go figure!

it is still present in maschine 2.14.1* used with waves v12.7 on a mac mini m1 under big sur.
affects all knobs with mouse arrow pointer. does not affect individual plugs GUI and using the controller or a scroll wheel type mouse/track ball.

    * i have suspended any machine updates until this is listed as fixed since a maschine update caused it.

conclusion: there is a mouse conflict bug caused by the maschine update to 2.13. this is not the frist time that there have been issues with mouse control and gui knobs.

i found it was related to the mouse usage. on my track ball if i use the scroll function to turn the knobs they work fine, but if i tried to use the mouse pointer i could not even turn a knob to the left. on big sur on an m1 mac, the problem is present in and for all NI and third party plug-ins if you open a project with a waves plug-in. the bug is with the mouse pointer and waves. it does not occur is you use a scroll wheel. it appears waves is interfereing with the operation of the mouse... if you have a mouse that scrolls it should work fine.. also it only affects the line knobs, if you open the plug-ins, it works fine...... i do not think the issue is just from waves as the mouse is slighly jumply and not smooth even if waves is not installed,.. i think waves is bringing forward an issue already in maschine... so the bug is from both waves and maschine... it makes doing automation difficult...

if you want to clear the issue, quit maschine and open a project with no waves plug-ins. if you want to get rid of waves from maschine, simply remove the wave shell plug in and/or move to a diferent folder. waves does not install any system extensions. most DAW will let you add a custom folder so put the wave shell in that for specific use...
