Here's a video for those interested in how the keyboards are working with/controlling Maschine.

It's not total control, but there's some cool stuff you can do in terms of aiding your workflow in Maschine.

I can't help but think that there will be a Komplete Kontrol "Studio" version series at some point that will have screens like Maschine Studio.

I know right? I totally expected screens like on the studio honestly.

Thanks for overview saintjoe. I think a full on Maschine Studio Keyboard (full color screens and all) would be a better option instead of a separate keyboard with cut down screens and abilities. Having one central keyboard with full sized pads in front of you instead of spinning around and jumping between two controllers would be much better. I think the keyboards are nice for what they are but it's never going to beat a dedicated flagship Maschine keyboard.

You and me both, I've been wishing for something like that since I first got Maschine. Some say no, I say yes please. One fully integrated piece would be dope, at least as an option. I'm sure it could be done.

You can expect that kind of keyboard to be more than $1000 for sure. That would be cool. That could be their next step. With professional producers who make a living off music, I'm curious to what they would be prefer to travel with either a keyboard version or the maschine studio version.

Yep... I want a Maschine controller with keys.

Even a small Maschine 25 key controller for bass lines and lead lines would be a good move.

    Something like this...

Thanks for the video, saintjoe; you do great work!

I think the Maschine studio screens should be implemented in the Maschine software. The Komplete Kontroller software too. But that does it; I'm getting an S25 - I sent then Launchkey back. The fact that you can key the chords from a Push expands it to an 64 keyboard (and I can also add in my APC Key 25 for bass).

Yeah...I'll take it. Maschine Studio is 999, if they had a full workstation like that, many would be willing to pay the price if it's done well. I don't know that people really look at the studio as a mobile unit, but even still, if there's a case big enough....I'm sure some would still take it with em.

Anyway, I hope they do that...at least as an option for those of us that would use something like that, as long as they don't skimp on any functionality and pad response, etc.

What do you mean exactly? What would they do?

Isn't the video showing Komplete Kontrol, and not Maschine 2.2?

I'm thinking I would like to see the pad configurations (e.g. PadKontrol) on the computer screen for Studio and KK - i.e., all functions accessible by mouse/keyboard/arrow keys. So I wouldn't have to stare at the LCD screens all the time.... (Some may think that is backward, but for me the computer screen is a valuable complementary asset to hardware implementation of data information.

Eventually that could lead to us being able to create our own scales, and especially chords and chord progressions (like Cthulhu, except the latter has no scales - I use Push/Clyphx for that - and edit my own version of the Push Remote Midi Script for my own scales)

But I could be wrong (I've been only wrong once so far, and that was when I thought I had made a mistake)...:)

So you just mean a different view, not really a copy of the studio screens. I do think a much more comprehensive pad view and dedicated arp/chord pages would be useful. When I first saw the KK software, I was looking for an arp/chord configuration page as well. I'd also like to be able to edit the arps, scales, and build your own chord sets. That would be great to have in the software view, but even on Maschine Studio it would be nice.

And it would be REALLY useful for owners of the Mk2 and Mikro...

Thanks for the video, I was curious what might be possible. It's crazy that you can't browse for patches within the keyboard and it doesn't look like the screen is doing anything either? Other than that it actually looks promising but no browsing is a big let down.

Yeah, no browser on the keyboard controller at all, it's on screen. Other than that, you get full control over the parameters and such.

Thanks for the video SaintJoe, you're the man!

Just to be sure, you can use a KK keyboard and Maschine controller at the same time?
Doing my research before buying KK.

Totally agree thats one of the reasons ive not bought one.from experience native always test the water with new hardwae and hold back features they can impliment on future versions.like kore 1 was buggy and had things like audio interface but the audio interface wasnt very good and in my case constanly crashed so i sold it but kore 2 was perfect and worked better..maschine hardware was the same.
I think with native having big sale on maschine hardware lately im betting there will be a keyboard with maschine pads coming next year .

Yeah, it's just an extension, or second controller. You can have both going at the same time.

If you look at the price of the Maschine Studio and the Komplete Kontrol Keyboards it's looks like a Studio Komplete Kontrol would have a price many wouldn't like.
