Because in the case of machine the loops are quantised afterwards in most use cases. Any latency is compensated for after the performance.

Regardless the sequencer apps sold on google play store don't seem to have any major deficiencies, they just work. Latency pretty good.

Most of the sequencer apps work perfectly in the previous android version. Have not tried with earlier versions before that so don't know.

If there was audio being recorded may be a different ballgame... But that's not what maschines does (well apart from sampler, but that isn't a latency issue either).

So maybe they think to only release on a high quality phone lol... but that isn't iPhone. Had iPhone 4 ( malfunktion home Button ) and 5 ( malfunction standby on/off Button... high quality was the price yes. Not again...
Other side.. like some people says already.. if they can make Money makes no sense to bring it not on Android.
Anyways.. but it's really welcome to use it on Android .

One does not simply work with music in a Java based OS.

Gotta love this part...can't say I ever noticed it myself: "For a violin — which is held just a few inches away from the player's ear — this delay translates to around 0.5 ms, and for larger instruments which are played farther away (like a piano, guitar, or drum set), this can easily reach 3 ms or more. This means that for someone like a pianist, playing a digital piano directly into their headphones at zero audio latency would effectively feel like listening to themselves play the piano in the future."

...seems to be the number 1 main topic of these forums. Maybe if people play lots of beats with zero latency maybe they will predict what is happening with NI.

I will add this as a feature request with Medium™

Dude... what about being able to have two different tempos in different scenes? What about real-time stretching when you play notes on the keyboard? I feel like they are really making it difficult...

As far as different tempos in a scene, I've been working on this one. Here is what I've got.

    A. You can half the tempo or double the tempo of a given track just by changing the grid on the sequencer and the reprogramming the midi to be either 2x faster or 1/2 times slower.

In most electronic music the breakdown will be at half tempo but there are several songs I own where the genre switches completely. So going from like 175 to 135 as a opposed to 87.

The same formula applies. This is way harder because you need to set the grid up on like 128 to program the pattern at that tempo. Other than that the onlt other way is this. Bounce the section u are working on, stretch it to the new tempo. Re insert the new audio clip that has been stretched to the new tempo and mute the old mid from before.

Sooooooooo, I usually wait a few months to update because some of the kinks of a new update can interrupt my usage of it. Which as you all know can be a nightmare when working on projects. Well against my better judgement I updated last night (facepalm), now everytime I try to add a effect or instrument (internal or external) it crashes.

What version of Maschine did you have previously? What OS version?
Do you have any Avid/Digidesign audio drivers on your MAC? If so there is a known compatibility issue with any type of Avid audio drivers and they must be removed.

    Contact support.
