Just in case you missed this video-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPEg_GTFfTg
Mark de Clive-Lowe mentions maschine 2.5 and their will be sequencer improvements. Just watch. So looks like they have a plan and their will updates spread out through future versions. What do you think? Go about the 22:00 time mark.

Sequencer improvements (all improvements and bugfixes) make me happy.
    But..
    22:50
    He claims "tags are editable".
So.. I wouldn't get excited what he says..

Funny 17 minutes in he says, "let me show you how I use it as sketch pad." I about snorted my soda. Nice link by the way.

"He says they've tagged the editables and you can add them." Has anyone added tags? I haven't tried that.

Well... I think we all know improvements are coming for Maschine but the real question is... how long will it take for them to get here?

At the pace Native Instruments is going... Maschine will always be playing catch up because NI is taking to long to give Maschine the much needed features improvements that Maschine should have had a long time ago.

Catch-up with who for example? NI is leading the way in the drum machine controller / software arena. We just know it can go a lot further.

well, a certain manufacturer starting with 'A'. I wish NI would add simple stuff like pad cycling, it's actually more useful than it sounds.

NI is not playing catch-up to them. You're simply wishing they would incorporate some of their features. This doesn't make them behind by any means. I find the Drum Synth to be more useful to me than pad cycling for example. I still say feature-for-feature, NI is the best doing it currently and I do own the other manufacturers product.

    yeah I
uh - I don't think they're 'behind'. I really like the drum synths too. I'm suggesting that both NI & Akai are spending some their effort on harvesting features off older boxes like the ASRs & MPCs - as well as each other & no shame in that either. Yeah I owned both until recently but my Maschine is unsaleable in it's current form otherwise it would be gone as well.

Chiming in, but "real-time" time stretching would be a good addition.

I think the lesson here is, very simply, don't buy into corporate hype, ever. Use what you've got for what it does, and forget about promised future super powers that may or may not happen in a future update. Real water can quench your thirst; the promise of a cool drink cannot.

Yes of course I use maschine like it is and I like it, but to have something new/updated is always good ;-) if it works of course
