I made a mistake installing the factory Library of Maschine 2. I downloaded the 2.0 software, updated all Komplete instruments, and THEN registered the Maschine 2 in the Service Center BEFORE installing the Factory Library from the DVD. Which is against what the setup guide says. Installation of Library now always fails with 4 minutes left.

Does anyone have an idea what I can do to resolve this? The Maschine works great with all instruments, but has no factory sounds and synths. :(

    Thanks for any ideas!

I also did this.. some sort of wrong order thing by download of 2.0 >>

My Maschine 2 won't initialize.. fails on initial startup in standalone mode on scan.. gives error unable to load module xx .. actually hangs windows 7 can't even use Task Manager to kill it. Also uninstalled and installed again.. same deal.

Next I will try uninstall both, then run service center, then install both again correct order. I am installing on my secondary laptop here first so it's not a big deal; also have 1.8 but kind of worried it hangs windows.. also created one blue screen in there trying to work out the error on Maschine 2 load

If it fails, you may have to delete registry entries. Be aware that when you install/uninstall maschine software too many times, it gets confused and looks for things in different folders and then would not Install, saying- it can not Uninstall. I had to use Windows Fix It to fix it with 1.8. I am not looking forward to 2.0 install, this is why I am checking the forum first.

yea that will be my next step.

FYI I installed on my main computer .. updated all other NI products to most recent version, then installed Maschine 2.0, then 2.0 library then ran service center, registered and updated to 2.02. Worked fine.

I am very happy with how 2.0 is running here (on MK2).. In Cubase - much less CPU drain, am loving the arranger/ transport view that gives feedback on the MK2 which now makes it a lot easier to work a project only on hardware with monitor off. Also the Komplete plugins are way quicker to load, haven't tried 3rd party vsts yet.

Was it installing Maschine MK2 driver during installation as it was with 1.x versions or uses old driver?
