Rule 1 ,don't update untill your products are supported.
Not really n.i s fault , maybe u should blame apple for releasing the update.

I don't have K anything so maybe this time it is a positive. I did however lose the ability to use my VRM for anything other then a headphone out, like I need that.(sarcasm)

I have not tried everything maschine has to offer but a quick power up and I can use my hardware and software no problem so far. I only tried playing a few kits and playing back some already created items. I did however have to go to audio and midi setting and change outputs and such before it would work. So I am thinking some one who said K9/10 might be an issue amy be right since I have neither.
So far the update has been relatively painless.

Blaming apple was a joke, but u should wait tho as its common practice in the music game.
It could be worse , akai moc ren have only just started to offically support mavericks , they prob wont be supporting Yosemite untill late 2015

As it is, there is already enough development resources diverted to keeping up with the ever changing OSX. Time spent fixing specific bugs in new yearly OSX versions that could be spent on other features and bugs. As a Windows user or anyone who is not updating to the latest OS the minute it is dropped, why would you want NI to go the route of having a OSX version ready at launch at all cost? Even though they are in the middle of developing other features their plans should be put on hold just have a version ready at Apple's release? The NI development cycle does not exclusively evolve around Apple's and it shouldn't. They are doing the smart thing and testing OSX in conjunction with their own own scheduled. Besides, not having an OSX version ready the day it drops allows them to only be focused on the actual release version and not waste time chasing bugs that will be ironed out with a later OSX beta build.

Oh this is getting funny. Certainly not Apple's fault at all. As for updating there were a ton of reasons for me to upgrade OS. Cloud with IOS8 for one - and it was well know that Pro Tools was running remarkable better under Yosemite betas.

NI isn't at fault here either although realistically releasing a major upgrade (K10) just a few weeks prior to everyone knowing OS 10.10 would be released on the 16th was a big oversight which I'm sure they are paying for with thousands of emails today.

Again, for me this is no big deal. I only use Maschine as software once in a while. Never use Guitar Rig 3 and really did not like the Komplete Kontrol app because I have a boatload of Kontakt libraries IT doesn't access. Again, no big deal.

Just an FYI, KK as well as Maschine will access any Kontakt library that is in K5 format. You just need to batch resave the libraries in Kontakt 5 if they are made with older versions then import the library folder. The exception is that the browsers don't support Kontakt monolith or multi files.

Didn't know that...even libraries that would not be in the 'libraries' section of Kontakt? That would be great. Especially for all the spitfire and "per TV show" libraries I have.

While I agree with you in certain respects, the OS upgrade has only been out for a day at this point. Why don't you give NI a chance to test the final GM of OSX and then they can release the update. NI has been pretty good for the most part in this regard, maybe one or twice they dropped the ball but it's rare (usually with their audio drivers). It would be nice if they had a day one release but I don't mind a day 3 release. it could be a policy thing. They may just possibly be waiting to see if there are any major complaints after folks update to 10.10. Remember that recently everything went ass-faced after the 8.0.1 update to iOS. It's better to wait until he dust settles then release your update.

Either way, after the Mavericks update I'm waiting this one out until at least 10.10.1. If I really need to tinker I have it installed on an MBP I had lying around.

Maschine 1.8 and Maschine 2 both not working here - Maschine 1.8 scans and then freezes on 'initialising applicaton' Maschine 2 just bounces on the dock and does not even start up. It's not a komplete 10 issue either as mentioned previously in this thread as i don't have it. No Maschine for the time being then, going to be opening service centre every day hoping for an update. That will teach me to take the plunge for once with upgrading. Gutted!

I installed Yosemite on my laptop first (not my main computer) as a test, and everything worked perfectly. Based on that, I then installed it on my iMac, and now have the same problem as everyone else. I just went back to my laptop to see what, if anything, is different, and I can see that I still have Maschine 2.0.5 on it. So a rollback might be a potential fix for now, until there is an update. Having said that, I've never done a rollback on NI software before, so am not sure if it's possible without first uninstalling (which I'm not doing because it took me a *really* long time to set up my user library).

Yeah I did read that thread there's one guy (he is a beta tester)saying it works and he even says he hadn't tested it properly ,the thing is I had no problems with the mpc ren and Mavericks And I didn't even use the beta driver they released ,but others had problems even with that.

Interesting note above I caught is on the mac book pro it worked fine on the desk top it did not. I have mine working fine but I am on a mac book pro. Does anyone have a mac book pro that didn't work? Or is it iMacs/desktops frankenmacs with or without fusion drives giving people grief? Just curious.

As an aside before updating to yosemite I had already updated throughout he service center all the NI items I have, and fired each up standalone, then I checked the software updater for any updates to the 10.9 software and installed all of them first then did the yosemite update. Not sure this makes any difference but it was worth mention if any is trying to figure out why theirs didn't work. Good luck!

Im on Macbook Pro and both Maschine 1.8 and 2 not working, 1.8 crashes after scanning when it gets to 'initialising application' and maschine 2 just bounces on the dock does not even start the scan window or anything. Before this on mavericks both were working fine. Updates all done in service centre after switching to Yosemite so that could have something to do with but i can confirm im macbook pro not desktop.Seems like it's hit and miss with people at the moment, but then putting that alongside ni's statement about not being yosemite ready yet im guessing all will be fixed for everyone who has issues on a update. The question is... how long is the wait?

They had a beta driver for it up until there latest update I'm pretty sure it's supported now , I may have over exaggerated about the release date for official support for Yosemite.

K-Beezy thanks, kind of blows some of my thoughts out of the water. Still I can not help but wonder if there is a common denominator.

I wonder if they will even tackle a fix at this point with the next version coming out in a couple weeks. I would imagine their resources are being applied to making sure it works on release. I hope I am wrong though.

iMini, Yosemite, Maschine 2.1.2, no Komplete - same bug, Standalone and VST don't come up, even Maschine 1.8 doesn't work. Controller (MK 1) is lighting up initial 2 times when connected to USB, then no "Maschine" logo appears, only the darked symbol is shown. Had re-installed newest driver, no luck.:(
