Hey everyone, I just have a few questions about using the maschine w/ ableton live 8.

For starters ive always been a hardware dude, and I just always ended up tracking out beats from my s950 into my interface through a multi track interface.

I got the maschine and I purchased ableton live with because I heard that they work very well together, and my question is this:

Once I finish a beat in maschine standalone mode, and want to track out the tracks individually, how do I do that in Ableton.

I know the first few replies are going to be search button, google, youtube, but youtube barely works on my college internet and I tried my best to find the answer here and google. Also this being my first few posts, dont flame me too hard :).
    Thanks

Bump, p.s. I don't want to do the drag and drop deal because I heard that the effects like sp1200 modeling doesn't get rendered into the audio when you drop it.
If someone can correct me on that, I would be very happy!

Maybe you could try bouncing your tracks to wav in standalone and then rebuilding the beat in Ableton.

No thats just illogical, I can do multi-track record individual tracks into Pro Tools 8/9 but not anywhere else but I'm recording on a dual core laptop, and Pro Tools is quite the cpu hog. I would rather mix in a low latency environment.

I create my music with loopt.. patterns and Scenes.
This gives the structure of my song
I rout audio to different channels
    and mix it in ableton.
I also use macro knobs to create "knob-turn-envelops" in ableton.

    I hope it's clear... I love it!

All you have to do is create your song in Maschine and then Drag and Drop the Audio into Ableton onto individual tracks...Maschine only allows you to drag and drop groups so if you want separate tracks for each sound (Ex. kick and snare on thier own tracks) you have to mute the sounds you don't want in Maschine's group first before dragging and dropping the group. Make sure you have loop optimize checked in your settings in Maschine, so everything lines up perfectly in Ableton..
