Can I use XLN Audio's "Addictive Drums" inside the Maschine software?
You sure can
Sweet! Any chance you can tell me step by step, how to?
you just make sure maschine knows where to look for where ever your vsts are (the addictive drums dll file) and add it as a sound.
for some reason mashine isn't finding my AD dll but i know its there because i use it in FL, but you should get the idea from this jing vid.. i suck at explaining thing so...
hope this helps
Ok so I dont have that "east west" option, or an "external" option. What now? I realized that I was installing the VST's in all the wrong places so I wiped everything and reinstalled with all the default install settings and put the vst's in the correct folders to use Maschine in Cubase. But I still cant use Addictive Drums inside the Maschine software. Im completely stuck.
you can install the vst anywhere. you just have to tell maschine the directory. go to file>preferences>plug-ins and select the "locations" tab then add your plugins folder/s
Ok well I tried that and when I rescanned the plugin folder, it looked like the Addictive Drums file was added but I still don't know how to open it...if that makes sense.
the same way i open the eastwest plugin in the video
I don't have those options though.
does your maschine software search for plugins on start up?
I don't see why not. I reinstalled with basic settings.
might wanna holler at tech support
Does Maschine bridge? Check whether you got 32/64 bit version of Maschine installed and do the same for the plugins. If Maschine does not bridge you have to either go up or down with either part of your setup to match the architectures
So it turns out after doing some research, I was running Maschine in 64bit, not 32bit. Sheesh. *noob*
It's 2016 doode, upgrade to 64 bit everything.
I use Addictive Drums v2 a lot in Maschine.
I also made a new Mapping for practice Fingerdrumming an Maschine Pads.
You have to load the Addictive drums in the Soundslot 1 (Pad 1) and then route the midi output of pad 2-16 to pad 1, so you can access the kitpieces of the Addictive drums plugin on Pad 1 with the other pads.
I have a lot of plug ins that I can only run i 32 bit mode so Im always going back in fourth. Did you try scanning in maschine preferences to see if that found it? Or is it only a 32bit plug-in?
Guyz for some reason , maschine scans but don t register my xln audio stuff ...no additcive keys or drums ...even the xln retro 20 fx not showing ...
Any clue ?
32 vs 64-bit issue like above???
No , all great concerning bits , i'm 64 in all ways ; all other brands works but for a strange reason my Xln not showing at all ....path scan and rescanned
Ok SOLVED (user scan path messed up after re allocation )
Thks Terry anyway for your answer
