Maschine and Komplete Elements activation problem

I just purchased Maschine hardware/software package with free Komplete Elements disk plus 2 free expansion packs. I picked Old School and Transistor Punch. Anyways I installed Maschine from the disk and everything went smoothly. Updated to 1.7 with no problems whatsoever. Now here's where all the frustration starts. I installed Komplete Elements with the disk and all plugins and samples were found and added to maschine. I actually installed maschine plugins in a custom made folder in my C drive labeled for 32 Bit and 64 bit. Also I created a custom folder for the NI library in my C drive. All plugins and samples were found in the hardware controller and most are able to be used. So everything looks right at this point.

I then go into Service Center to activate Komplete Elements and it acts as if I installed 5 programs separately instead of as a whole package which Komplete elements should be since it was given free with Maschine. I only have one serial number given for the Komplete Elements software and one serial number for the maschine hardware/software. For some reason I cannot activate any of the Komplete Element programs. There are 5 that won't activate: Abbey Road 60s Drums Vintage, Guitar Rig 4, Kontakt Elements Selection R2, Kontakt Elements Selection, and Reactor Spark R2.

Additionally I checked my email and noticed NI sent me a 1.7 update link and Komplete Elements MK2 link with another serial number to activate. So I thought hell yea, this should fix it. Wrong! It allowed me to update all those unactivated products and added one more un-activated product to service center, Guitar Rig 5. So now I have 6 things not activated in service center with no serial codes to activate.

Wait! There's more. The 2 free expansion packs dl from NI website gave me even more of a headache. I dl Transistor Punch which installed and activated perfectly. Then dl and installed True School. True school added it's library to maschine but is not seen in the control center. It acts as if it's not installed but I can access its contents thru maschine. When I want to use True School it prompts me to activate it in control center? It's not listed in control center? See my frustrations? lol

So I emailed NI. Got a response a week later telling me to disable my antivirus, disable UAC, run Windows Installer cleanup utility suggested by NI with a dl link which additionally costed me $30 to use, and manually delete NI files from my registry in the regedit section. Did all of this twice and nothing changed! So now I have 7 un-registed products for Maschine in the service center and 1 of those is not even showing up! What should I do about this? Reinstall my whole operating system and do a new install? This is seriously frustrating me! I was planning on purchasing Komplete 8 because I want to use FM8, Absynth, and Massive but my experiences so far with NI stuff has been ridiculous! I'm seriously scared to spend any more money on there stuff especially when the only reason you can't use it is because of activation!

I seriously hope someone on this forum can help me or NI gets back to me with a better customer service type solution such as just activating my stuff another way. I really want to use NI's stuff but seriously considering other products now!

Has anyone else had this problem? I've seen similar posts but nothing close to what I'm experiencing.

 

Hahahaha! Yea I have an update for anyone seeking out an answer for the same problem. Answer is you're better off re-installing your whole ****ing operating system! I have Windows 7 64 bit if your wondering. They say to disable your virus protection and UAC. Thats something I will do in the new install after I have a fresh OS. Note to NI: this should be stated in the manual! It's not along with a whole **** load of other needed info! Then back up your disk up b4 installing Maschine and Komplete. If they ask you to run Windows Installer Cleanup (cost is $29 USD)...DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! It didn't do jack ****! Then as a last resort they request that you start deleting all the files labeled NI in you directory inside regedit. Good luck with this as it appears to have at least 1000 + files listed with NI files. So unless you want to sit there for a few days hitting F3, delete, enter.... re-install the OS system. Hopefully if you have to do this you don't have much on your OS harddrive. I didn't because this CPU is less than a month new build. Should take 8 hours to redo everything and update. Which isn't that bad considering the possible problems if everything in the registry wasn't deleted causing the problem all over again! **** me! So I guess after installing Maschine and Komplete you really can't uninstall or install on another computer without having an activation problem. What makes me wonder is what happens if your whole disk is fried and you need to activate it on another PC?

As a first time NI user, I gotta say it. That service center **** is a mother****er! lol but I understand protecting your ****!

Long story! lol

I had to re-install everything on my computer. I save all my work and files on an external hd so it didn't make doing this terribly bad. It was still a pain in the ass but not as bad as I expected. I've had to do this quite a few times throughout my years of working with computers, usually because of viruses and other crap but never because I couldn't activate a program i paid for! Either way I feel it's the best method to fix OS errors and things of that nature so that your system runs at optimal performance. Luckily when I built this computer and installed Windows 7, everything updated and installed flawlessly. I didn't have to mess with many settings at all and all my programs and games worked perfectly after installation! This would be a first out of the several other computers I've put together so it definitely made things easier. With that said, doing this could possibly give you a lot of trouble if you don't know what your doing. But with some research I will say it's not that hard either. Better than paying some tech guy to try and fix it. Average time and cost you might as well start from scratch!

After wiping out the OS from the hd and re-intalling it, I had to:
Install all hardware drivers, update windows and everything associated with the computer.
Install all additional programs I use and update (except for ESET NOD32 my virus program).

Then I checked to make sure everything worked properly and made a backup of the disk! Never again will I forget to do this before installing anything from NI or anything period!

After the HD is backed up I disabled the GUI settings in Windows as suggested by NI and installed Maschine. Just remember this while installing anything from Native instruments. Install all updates available then activate it! If you activate the product before you update, it will screw everything up! Also if you ever un-install it for some reason you will encounter the same activation problem when you try to re-install it!

Then do the same thing with Komplete Elements, Expansion Packs, everything NI!
Install, Update, Activate! After all this my problems were fixed. I installed my Virus protection and now everything is working perfectly!

I was very pissed off at NI about this but once I got this stuff working I forgave them very easily! So I'm still a satisfied customer but they should actually give me sum free stuff for my troubles! lol. Hope you get yours working soon!

 

Wow. After I could not find a solution in the fourm I emailed support with my problem within a half hour I got a reply that the installer on the cd was old and they gave me a link with a couple files to download which I did then I ran the exe. file and everythink was up and running.

 

Hey Guys

Getting a bit frustrated as well with installing the cross over maschine deal with Komplete Elements.
I installed maschine 1.7 on my PC and it worked for one day. When it started scanning for VSTs it crashed on a cpl of programs then froze when scanning B4 ll.

I installed and then re-installed doing the same thing.

This morning i tried to un-install and then re-install and now it is giving me a an error message 2109 saying that there maybe something wrong with the disc.
Another message saying that i need to un-install older versions via control panel but there are no icons/programs of maschine (old and new) in the control panel.

Did you get a error message as well

Please help!

 

I am not able to use my Reactor/spark library at all. I've installed.....uninstalled...updated....all that. It works fine as a stand alone vst however, when trying to use it w/ maschine mikro, it does not load ANY OF THE LIBRARY and therefore is unusable. It's also the same after latest Reactor update. Any clue as to what's up?

NOTE: I've also tried mapping to different locations, etc. I tried main drive; dedicated plug in drive; etc. It's taken me hours to try figuring this out to no avail. FRUSTRATING.

 

This software is nothing but activation and library £900 worth of headache, I have spent hours infront of my mac troubleshooting issues and native instrument support quote frankly takes too long to respond and majority of the responses that I have had are to links that I have already tried on my own, Why so many issues with this software you guys need to update this software properly and fast as its a nightmare, My latest issue is my service centre is saying all products activated but when I launch my komplete select it saye activate, demo or buy . This is crap, I feel like making youtube video cussing this product if nothing gets done, So many issues on the forums and net, What the hell do you think we are all mugs at this price. What would apple do if the iphone crapped out like this.
