Hey Guys just have a question.I have kore and contact player on my macbook pro that i use in Logic 9.I had this idea about getting machine and using it to drive my kore and contact player library.I have Urban Arsenal 2 and Alecia's Keys and soon battery 3 will be installed too.I want to use all those library's in machine when i get it as well as some other Kontakt sound packs.Don't know if it will tax my macbook pro cause i have no experience with it yet,so if anyone here on the post uses it this way please fill me in on how you use it and how successful you were doing it,Thank!;)

    welcome :)

there is a new version of Maschine that is being beta tested, have a look here:

    http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/showthread.php?t=80682

with that, you will be able to hosts all the plugins - with their Sound Packs as VSTs inside Maschine. so you will be able to record Patterns in Maschine and have those Patterns trigger the plugins. at the moment Maschine does not host Plugins, so it is more complicated to get Maschine to drive Kore.

what you can do at the moment is to load Maschine - as a VST - in Kore, and route the MIDI from Maschine to other loaded Plugins and Sounds. so yes, with this method it is possible to have a Patterns in Maschine playing Alecia Keys Piano and another Pattern, playing and Urban Arsenal Kit, etc. and of course you will be able to load Kore as an AU in Logic.

whther this will tax your Macbook Pro will depend on the amount of RAM you have and how many FX and VSTs you are are using at the same time in Logic ;)

but in terms of music making, i have really enjoyed making Patterns in Maschine, and have them trigger other plugins - in Kore2 - like Massive, and Battery and Sound Packs such as Urban Arsenal and the Scarbee ones

@Sowari once your done with a song with maschine driving the sounds from say massive how do you get the song bounced out. since there is no DAW used.

    Re: Kore

i recorded my Massive Basses onto an Audio Track via a Bus Channel in Logic. that is what i did with Logic 8. I have Logic 9 on a shared computer, i suppose it would be possible to do Bounce in Place and solo each Massive Bass Sound.

yeah I tried that trick with maschine and kore 2 myself with both running in stand-alone mode and I couldnt get them to work right together myself. I tried every midi configuration I thought possible n Maschine would only sequence one sound and it would not let me load its factory sounds while playing back the midi message from kore 2 and I couldnt configure different sounds on different midi channels either. The sound from kore 2 it did play back would play back in a stuck fashion. Once it it rounded out the time signature it would play back those same midi notes without me touching my midi controller. I sure hope the next update addresses the issue cause I would wet my pants to be able to use any of the kore sounds, sound packs and effects, or even say battery 3 or absynth, fm8, or massive sound content and samples within maschine and be able to sequence those sounds within the groups and patterns of maschine. That would set maschine so much higher above the MPC then it already is.
