I was wondering if there is any way to control when maschine patterns start playing when recording through a DAW?

For instance, i have maschine loaded as a VST in Logic and i have a drum pattern loaded in maschine. The pattern always starts to play as soon as i hit record in Logic. i would like the maschine pattern to wait until after Logic's 1-bar count-in stops to play, as it is distracting to hear the patterns play the second i hit record and I am trying to lay down other tracks in Logic.

    Any ideas? Thanks!!

I used to have this problem in Sonar, luckily the Cakewalk folks listened in to the forum, looked at the issue and worked with NI to get a solution.. one temporary solution was to use (go figure) a midi metronome..not sure if that's a potential solution for you.

The best workaround to give you is to insert a blank scene of one measure, and place the pattern you wish to record into into the following scene...

note that if you wish tp record into multiple patterns by placing them into the scene mode and run non-looping.
