    Some really good news.

Just did a longer test. I have my FocusRite Scarlett18i8 gen 2 plugged in to the USB port of the M+ and all the I/O shows up. What’s great about this is that i have instant access to the following gear hooked up to the Scarlett:
    Microfreak
    Minilogue
    AS-1
    DigiTone
    OctaTrack
What’s great about this is that all audio is routed thru the Scarlett to the M+ so it’s easy to sample all of my gear and since it’s all connected via an Anker USB Hub i can midi sequence everything.

Super cool to have it all accessible in the Maschine+

Will run more tests today during a jam session.

I can confirm that the MIDITECH 4x4 (usb midi interfase), works great and support 4 midi in / 4 midi out extra ports to Maschine+.

Is a cheap and very handy MIDI device:
    https://www.thomann.de/es/miditech_midiface_4x4.htm

    Another gear that works nice:
    - Elektron Analog Keys.
    - Roland Jupiter X / Xm.
    - Korg NanoKeys 2.
    - M-Audio Keyrig 49.

As I told in another post, the following devices do NOT works with Maschine+:

    - Roland MX-1.
    - Waldorf Kyra.
    - Roland JD-XA.
    - Roland FA-06 (sometimes works but sometimes not ... better do not use it).
    - Yamaha Modx6.
    - M-Audio oxygen 61 (works but Maschine reboots itself every x time).

    Salud! ;)

I’m curious about using an input only interface, like the Apogee Jam. I don’t think it’s possible. It would’ve been nice for recording guitars, but since Guitar Rig is not supported in standalone, its useless anyway.

Apogee Jam isn't input only, it has a stereo output, so if it can work class-compliant, it should work.

And while I also really want GR to be ported to M+, it by no means makes M+ useless for guitars (in my opinion).

Yeah... I mean there are still distortions, verbs, delays, and all sorts of effects often used in guitars albeit no advanced "Artificial Intelligence modeled amp emulations" or whatever it's called.

How does GR6 behave on the computer? I don't have it to test but given the marketing material it doesn't sound like it's designed to be CPU friendly, hence probably difficult to work nicely with the limited CPU of Mas+

True, though the Cabinet module is actually pretty good.

I don't have GR6 either, but in GR5 there's a variety of CPU usages from different amps (which are the most CPU-intensive effects in GR) and I don't expect GR6 to be any different in that sense. Much like some Prism or other Reaktor patches that take loads of CPU cycles, I don't see it as a problem to have CPU-intensive stuff ported to M+, as long as it can be used (obviously pointless if M+ can't run the plugin/patch/model at all). Still, I'd be over the moon with a GR-lite for M+, to be honest, wanting it mainly for the various effects components more than the amps (though at least a decent selection of amps would be necessary).

Yeah but that's a decade old... I am assuming this could be like Massive VS Massive X, where the latest is much more demanding but Im just blindly assuming.

I don't have a problem with intensive stuff either, but people will cry in mass if GR6 takes 50% of CPU.. you know how that goes, given what's currently on Mas+ I think NI is avoiding porting heavy stuff. A lite version would be great, I don't play guitar but I love using the FX on other stuff.

Fair point. Could go both ways though and the newer version being more efficient, at least for the pre-GR6 models. Who knows though.

I know. Better to have it than not though, in my opinion.

Maybe. Monark and Prism in particular can both be heavy on desktop though.

Just got a Digitakt today and guess what. Audio/Midi works via USB. This is freaking bonkers.
I’m gonna add a suggestion to the beta forum so maybe they can create an “aggregate device” like on the Mac, so if you use Digitakt or OP-Z as an interface, you can only use the inputs while using the outputs of Maschine.

    Anyway... good times!

Already suggested and logged, I believe. It would be an excellent feature, but don't get your hopes up.

I meant useless to have an aggregate device. M+ is by no means useless for guitars. I record a lot of loops and slice them. I get chops that I wouldn't get on guitar alone. I really love the workflow

I've posted another thread about this, but does anyone have an OP-1 they can test with the Maschine+ to see if they can get midi out/in? I really want to use my OP-1 for its keyboard and sequencers. I can't tell if the problem is with my OP-1, which wouldn't surprise me as I've had issues with its USB port before, or if it's just unsupported.

I'll try. I tried syncing it and it worked. Can't see why control mode doesn't.

Interesting. Thanks so much for checking that. It's likely it's just my OP-1 then. Would still appreciate a full control mode test if you have the time.
