Thank you. Looks like the problem is with the M+. But since it worked before there is hope it might work again :)

Yeah it's interesting as my MC-101 works fine on other Linux devices (RPI) in vendor mode. Has anyone tried the Roland's with the MPC Line? 707 would be mega fun.

    I'm using a iConnect Audio+
    - getting the very occasional crackle, but I get the odd crackle out of the main analogue outs , so i need to double check if it's less or more. lol. Can't wait for the M+ to mature away from the bloody beta bleeding edge. Akai took about three years to get the new MPC stable.. come on NI.. we love you, you can do it!

I've successfully mapped 18chan of audio between a MPC Live, or iPad with AUM or Drambo, and the interfaces analogue i/0.

    Fat fun hun!

Connected my RME Fireface UCX (not UCX II) just now.

UCX **must** be manually switched from front panel to be in "Class Compliant Mode"

17 inputs from UCX available to route to Maschine+
17 outputs to UCX available to route from Maschine+

The following devices can stream multichannel audio bi-directionally when connected to Maschine+'s USB-A port:

    - Elektron Analog Rytm MK2
    - Elektron Digitone/Digitone Keys
    - RME Fireface UCX I (in "class compliant mode")
    - Tascam Model 24

But my REAL question is: The Presonus StudioLive 32R
This would be my holy grail interface because:
    1) It has USB and AVB connections and would therefore act as i/o for both Maschine+ and my iMac (over Ethernet)
    2) Excellent internal mix engine for my hardware machines when playing live (great EQ, limiters, comps and gates w/ sidechaining and fully adjustable parameters!)
    3) 16 analog in and 16 analog out in 2 rack spaces.

But I'm not gonna get my hopes up. Maschine+ acting as a host device for USB audio interfaces has shown to be very unreliable and spotty.
It was wise of them to advertise this feature as "not officially supported".
I would pay $$$ to get this functionality working as it should...to really open up use with multichannel USB interfaces.

Can confirm, Analog Heat Mk I working like a champ on my M+

This will be superb for live gigs!! You can switch the AH to "Insert" mode and everything coming out from M+ can be distorted/EQd/Filtered

I got a Digitone as well, have to try that one too since folks report it working. Actually it will be great for resampling my digitone patterns into M+ if it works

Anyone had chance to use their Machine+ with an RME Fireface 802 or an RME Fireface UFX?

I don't have either of those products, but if the RME literature on line says that they can act as "class compliant" devices, then there's a good chance they will work. Good luck!

Scarlett Focusrite 18i8 (3rd gen) is not compatible. It works for a couple minutes, then the audio starts crackling/glitching. To fix it, I need to go to the audio settings on the M+ and toggle the selected interface back and forth, as others have mentioned. I am disappointed, to say the least, given the popularity of the Focusrite series

Have anybody tried Behringer x32 Rack or Producer mixer? Does it work as 16 stereo-channel audio interface with Machine+?

Sorry to hear that at enz0. They definitely are popular interfaces I was looking at an ebay listing for a 1st generation Scarlett 18i20 yesterday here in the UK and was wondering if that would work. It was so cheap it was tempting to just try it.

Focusrite claim all 3 generations are class compliant (see this link) My thinking was that the older generation stuff might be more likely to work as they're likely simpler - that's nothing more than a pessimistic hunch though.

How has you're UCX faired Rhythm Droid since you first posted? Have you had any issues since? Out of interest, you mentioned 17 inputs / outputs were available to route to - were any of those the ADAT input / outputs? Have you connected anything to the ADAT input / outputs?

    Thanks
    :)

Note that this can happen even with the interface that is built in the M+ altho less frequent.

Good to know I guess. Could just have been general instability then enz0 as opposed to a specific issue with Focusrite interfaces

Yeah, that's what I am thinking. I have a gen1 Scarlett and it works fine (altho I never tested it for an extended period of time.)
    Technically anything class-compliant should work.

That could very much be the case. If it is an instability issue with the M+ itself, I'm hopeful it can be resolved quickly with another firmware update; This would mean it is something that can be fixed on NI's end rather than both NI and Focusrite

Personally I have not experienced the audio glitching much (or at all really) using the internal interface after updating to the latest firmware, but I did experience it quite a lot before updating. I work mostly with samples though, so perhaps that makes a difference.

After doing some research, users on other forums/threads seem to have much better stability with the previous gen Scarletts, but have mentioned similar issues to me with the 3rd gen.

The audio glitch thing is a hit or miss, some people complain a lot others almost never have it.
In my case, it never happens at home, for some odd reason each time I take the M+ to rehearsal or a live show the audio glitches on boot and I have to do the settings knob twist trick - It's almost like the dang thing knows it's not home.
