    Hi,

This is related to the 'Maschine blinks twice' thread but I think it's related to the controller editor software update from NI.

    ---

After downloading and installing Mikro Prism and The Mouth I saw in the Service Center app that there was an update available for the Controller Editor.

I downloaded and installed v1.3.2 (for Windows).

Now when I launch the Controller Editor I get an alert box which says:

"Maschine Controller: The Native Instruments Hardware Controller Support is not running. Please install the latest update. "

I downloaded the 2.0.15 Controller Driver update from NI. Running the installer prompted me to uninstall the driver. So I did that, then ran it again to reinstall the driver. The installer was dated March 2010 so I probably already had this version anyway.

Maschine blinked twice but the LCDs do not progress to the greyed-out 'loaded but not active state'.

I restarted and also tried a different USB port.

    Still no luck :(

Is anyone else having this problem after the 1.3.2 Controller Editor update?

    Thanks,
    Dan

    Update:

So to test my theory I uninstalled the 1.3.2 Controller Editor, and downloaded and installed the v1.2.1 Controller Editor.

After a brief delay the Maschine came back to life.

As the 1.3.2 update seems geared towards Traktor support and I don't have Traktor I'm going to continue running v1.2.1 in the hope that the next update resolves this issue.

    Cheers.

I had the same problem and re-installing the Controller Editor 121 was indeed the solution to the problem.

    Thx a lot for sharing!

I had the same issue when I installed the Controller Editor 1.3.2. "Maschine Controller: The Native Instruments Hardware Controller Support is not running." But you need first to uninstall the controller editor 1.2.1, restart and than install the new Controller Editor 1.3.2.
    It worked with me.

    Thanks for the info.

That worked for me also. I thought my Maschine quit working but when I installed it on a different PC it was working. So not a problem with Maschine it is with the driver.

    Thanks,
    Daniel

    Double flasing lights not response

    Just to confirm

Got Maschine last week set up and ran perfect, I started downloading some updates especially Controller Editor v1.3.2, maschine just died wouldn't start up. Kept flashing all lights twice. Error message when opening up controller editor.

The tips from the guys on this thread fixed it.

    Step 1
Make sure Maschine is disconnected at all times.

    Step 2
Go into Control Panel, Add/Remove Programmes. Remove the Controller Editor v1.3.2.

    Restart computer.

    Step 2
Download the last version of the Controller Editor v1.2.1.

    Restart computer

    Step 3
Plug in Maschine and then start Controller Editor, Maschine lights will flash as if the fix had failed, then will start up in midi mode.

    Step 4
    Disconnect Maschine.

    Step 5
Go into Control Panel, Add/Remove Programmes. Remove the Controller Editor

    Restart computer.

    Step 6
Download the latest version of the Controller Editor v1.3.2

    Restart computer

    Step 7
Plug in Maschine and then start Controller Editor, everything should be good.

I am running a vista laptop.

    Bye
    Kevin
