Yes, I know it isn't supported by NI, but maybe someone got it to work? I have the controller connected (USB) to the slave in my setup, and I'd also like to go with a MIDI cable from the controller (Out) to the MIDI interface connected to the PPC (In), and use it as a regular MIDI controller in PT 7.4.2.

    Thoughts?

you should be able to download an old Maschine Driver - from the unprotected downloads - that was part of the original 1.1 version.

my Maschine Controller still works with my non-intel PPC MacMini, which has Maschine 1.1 still installed on it.

    Thanks.

Installing just the driver didn't work. Maschine is recognized in the AMS setup, but doesn't send any MIDI via USB, or MIDI out.

it should do, did you press Control + MIDI on the Maschine Controller?

for the Maschine Controller to send MIDI out of the MIDI Out port, you need to install the Controller Editor application and choose External MIDI - the default is Insternal MIDI.

but, the Maschine Controller should send MIDI through the USB on the computer if you press Shift + Control to put it into MIDI Mode.

Yes! External MIDI - that was it. Fantastic! I can now use Maschine on the slave via USB, and as a MIDI controller for the master PPC via the MIDI out port. Thanks a lot!
