Maschine controlling Traktor Pro

Hey guys,

I just got the Maschine for Christmas and I've been having a lot of fun. I was watching some videos and realized I could control Traktor Pro with Maschine, but I have no idea how to do it. I watched the tutorial video, but what I really need is a step by step guide on how to get maschine to control Traktor.

Also, I wonder if there are better midi mappings available now since the video is rather old. Is there a way to control FX for 2 decks, have a cross fade on a knob, and have volume faders on knobs?

nicolai use the template as a base, open the controller editor, and take your time to set things how you want it.

i made a cubase template in a few hours, spend the time to make one and you can upload to the template section.

 

Once I've made the template though, how do i make maschine work with traktor. I plugged it in and switched to midi control mode and selected the template but the maschine wasnt controlling traktor at all.

 

press on the maschine controller ,

hold shift + press control (top left),

then select the template, hold shift and look at the lcd screens.

 

Yeah, I did all that but it still wasnt doing anything. Is there anything I need to do on the software end to enable it?

 

select maschine in the midi devices i think , go into the options

 

do you not need to map it all out in traktor itself so it has a tks.?

 

where do i find the .tks file thats premade for the template?

 

I have the same problem
every time i load traktor and try and upload the tsi file from Maschine to traktor so that maschien can controll traktor , it dosnt load up?
any info or help would be greatly appreciated. .... any 1!
