MASCHINE+ Development Update: September 2021 and 1.3.2 Release

Oh I missed it. Don’t know of such thing. Hope it will be part of next system update anyway. Don’t want to update M+ with a USB. Strange option

No. I mean, why should one use a USB cable to update, if there is an internal online update mechanism.

it does not mean I wouldn’t do the update by USB, assuming this is a hot fix. However, in the long term, i hope to get same update as part of next online update package be it 1.4 or something else version-number-wise.

I would update even using a hammer as soon as it's clear that MIDI works perfect.

Hopefully we will get a well tested update before X-Mas and New Year holidays.

 

Because maybe they need to replace more "critical" data which is maybe not possible with the internal online update. Not sure how they implemented the bootloader, the Yocto stuff and so on but it's possible that they use U-Boot with USB / USBDFU to do some more critical firmware update.

But what you're looking for is not there, it's not released yet afaik, but It can't hurt to install that Windows MIDI driver update if you use it.

It's due to some technical shenanigans, not sure if I am allowed to elaborate on the details so I won't but what matters is there will be a separate installer for those who have a computer to deliver the fix faster, this way for anyone with a computer at hand that consider this issue critical can get it fixed, then at some point the fix will be included in an update directly from the HW.

Well, I've used a hammer to update my M+ Firmware from 0.1.6 to 0.1.9 thanks to Nico @ NI notice:

It worked fluently and quite fast comparable to an update of a KK keyboard!

 

Maschine+ Updater cannot find my M+. I'm running Mac OS 10.15.7 and the M+ currently has FW 0.1.6. USB connection seems fine with both Storage and Controller modes.
[EDIT] ... never mind, after putting the M+ in controller mode, the updater was able to see the M+.

 

A new FWUpdater is now available for Maschine Plus since 4th November - the first for this product actually: v1.0.0.

The firmware updater link on that page says 0.1.9, not 1.0. Is the 0.1.9 updater the same as 1.0? Confused.

 

Same here.
I also have an issue of some samples not being loaded. Have not experienced it before the update, not sure if it is related to firmware update. For instance, Lucis Mission expansion, Cremona Kit, Clap won't load, saying sample is missing. Checked the storage, file is there (Connected SD Car to PC). M+ won't load this sound. But I used this expasion/kit earlier successfully... hm...

 

0.1.9 is the last update from 4th November. Don't pay attention to 1.0.0.

I also have missing samples that won’t load, both n my Mac and my M+. Why is that?

On my mac everything works like charm. I have issue only with M+. Samples are there in the file system, but not available in the group once loaded

One of potential answers was that, these are not samples, rathers loops. Something may have been changed about loops processing in maschine software, which potentially broke the M+, maybe
