Maschine + -- DSP when working as PlugIn???

Hi, I was wondering, if Maschine + runs as a PlugIn in my Host (Logic Pro) would use internal CPU-Power, so that processing is done on Maschine + (or mostly), relaxing my MacBooks CPU. Does anybode know that? I could´nt find any information about online.
I would like to use Maschine Hardware as Controller and, at the same time, having sound coming from Maschine which is processed by Maschine + Hardware.

    Thanks!

i don't believe that is how it will work..

Using Maschine as a plugin will run the machine VST software and you will use the maschine+ as a controller only..in exactly the same way as mkIII does right now... which is the same way as how Akai does this with the MPC. .. run mpc software and VST and use hardware as controller only.

the capability of maschine+ is very restricted compared to the software..just like the MPC Live vs MPC software..

So rather than have a castrated version of maschine software to match the maschine+, take advantage of the Maschine software, load komplete and all your VST instruments within Maschine then if you wish to move the project to maschine+ am sure you can just print the VSTs to audio

    Hey Mystic38,
thx for the reply -- do you know for sure, or is it an assumption -- in that case it would be great to know the source.

I think that way, too, but I wanted to be sure -- even a little of CPU-on DSP would help in my setup, as my new MBPro runs hot, keeping the Buffersize at 128, which is fine for live-inputs because of low latency.

As you mentioned printing VST to audio, do you have experience or an estimated percentage how much less cpu it needs to just play audio-loops (generated from your own patterns) in comparison to the software instrument -- I know, plug ins and also the intensities vary a lot, regarding what instruments you use, but, lets say, a medium heavy software instrument with e.g. 2 basic plugins like compression, EQ and or some reverb?

    Thanks again,

    Gerwin

You can be sure, Maschine+ will not work as some sort of UAD interface to offload DSP from your computer.

I was pretty confident in my reply but note that D-One has confirmed my thoughts so he has cleared it up totally.

From a CPU usage perspective you will ALWAYS be better off using audio loops than software synths if you can. It would be straightforward for you to simply run your own tests..

    cheers
