Maschine expansion pack on Maschine Version 1.8.2

Hi guys

I haven't used my first generation Maschine in a while and started playing it around again yesterday. I literally bought an expansion pack 10 minutes ago and realised my Maschine cannot read it! Is there a way to import the expansion pack? I have no intention to spend AUD 140 to upgrade it to version 2 since I don't use it a lot.

 

tl;dr version - no, you can't import to older version.

If it's one of the newest expansions you not only need to have Machine 2.X (specific version needed) but sometimes also other software like Massive or Monark.
Expansion requirements are on the bottom of an expansion page on NI site.

On the other hand. If you do not own Komplete, when buying 2.0 you'll get Komplete Select for free. Maybe worth considering.
But... 2.0 is a lot different then 1.82.

 

That really sucks. I thought NI was a little better than this (supporting older generations of their products) but obviously my assumption was wrong.

Don't worry about Komplete Select. I have Komplete 8 Ultimate, thanks anyway.

 

Why can't I run Komplete Ultimate on my Atari2600? wtf dude? NI sucks.

where is NI´s fault for you not able to read? has anyone from NI forced you to buy this expansion in a quick time?
