I do. You can buy my sample packs from my site :)

I wish NI would provide the tools to roll out sample libraries for Maschine and Id go ahead and produce some.

Is making a sample pack for Maschine not just saving the individual Sounds as Sounds and the individual Groups as Groups and housing it in its own folder so the Sounds in Maschine know where to get the samples? Probably need to direct Maschine to the folder in Preferences too.

Is there more to it than this? I haven't tried this in terms of using my made Groups and Sounds on another computer, so I don't know if it would work.

Yep. They need to provide a tool that will automatically add the patches and sound tagging to the new users library so they don't have to manually tag each sample and drum kit.

Understood. That would be the drawback. Well, maybe they will... I'm not holding my breath about it though. Especially if it holds back other dvelopments. I do understand it would be good though.

Yes, the voucher will allow you to download any number of tools that are able to convert the files for you. Someone claimed that they were able to do this without the voucher, but I haven't confirmed this.

Importing WAV's into Maschine couldn't be easier.
Yes, I agree it's reasonable for sound designer/retailers to request the tools to make import completely automatic.
However, it's not that hard to group like sounds in folders, then all the user has to do is open the disk (importer) part of Maschine, create a new folder for machines library, navigate to the folder on the disk, select all the sounds (say: bass drums) - shift/click, then make one tag (say 'kick' - 'analog') and all the bass drums will be imported in one moment.

Well, it seems like you've got part of the "theory" already. I think it's a logical step though. Kore has its soundpacks, as does Kontakt, Massive and Absynth even have expansion packs, I believe. Maschine is part-sampler, so sample packs seem a pretty logical idea to me. I like that they've finally done this. I just hope the series will be as varied and as good as the Kore ones.

In what way were you over-analyzing? What were you concluding?

well, it was very late at night and i purchased the vintage pack.....woops! its alright, nothing groundbreaking, but yeah def some stuff i willl use. If they branch out a bit ill def pick up some more. bring some crazy percussion packs- west african instruments, some ambient packs full of different noises and hisses would be nice. Maybe some off kilter-wonky type hiphop!

anyways, ive already got laods of drum sounds, but im always up for new percs! the whole instruments packs are a waste of time for me. I prefer using my synths anyday. just picked up a roland gaia, love it already!

Yes, I didn't pick up the Komplete Elements offer for that reason.
I'm just not using all those varied sounds any more...... and I already have piano, acoustic drum and string libraries, plus real synths aplenty.
On my net it would have taken several (many) hours to download.
The Maschine Expansion pack took 30 minutes, and targets the kind of sounds I'm regularly using. ;)
