For some reason my first post was deleted or is not showing up anymore.

Much like the sticky above where some extracted and saved all the factory patterns, I went through and re saved all the kits without their patterns.

That way when you load a factory kit, it will be a clean slate and not full of patterns already.

For some reason I am getting an error when trying to upload the 3MB zip of the kits.

If a mod could assist in uploading these here I would like to share them.

There are no samples included - just the kit files.
    ---
This is what I get when trying to upload the file.

    Datenbankfehler
Es trat ein Problem mit der NI User Forums Datenbank auf.

it has not been deleted, it is being moderated.

i need to check whether it is okay. i know there are no samples but it still needs checking.

the upload is broken, and i am quite angry that it has not been fixed even though i have asked many times. i would also like to upload files of the size that is supposedly okay, and i also get the same error message

anyway, please be patient as i have the thread looked at.

unfortunately the size will prevent an upload of a zip file here anyway.

Ok. I figured since all the patterns were posted in a sticky at the top then having the kits would be essentially the same and alright too.

Thanks for the reply. If it is ok, it would be great if either you or ew could assist me in getting them to all the other maschine users.

Phil made the right move here; until we get a yes or no, the old thread will stay in moderation.

If it's OK'd, I can host it for you if you'd like.

    Sounds good. Let me know.

In the patterns thread someone had already posted all the Analog Kits re saved without the patterns so I didn't think anything of it when I posted since it had been done before.

Ah- I missed that, and Phil probably did as well. Thanks for the heads up.

OK- we've received permission for this, because there's no samples or protected content.

However, the pattern uploads and the kit uploads are exceptions to the normal rule. In almost all other cases, redistributing factory content is strictly forbidden.

Anyways, you can get all the factory kits without patterns or samples here:

From day one with Maschine I've always wanted the kits with no patterns so I'm glad to see this. How would I use this? Should it just be unzipped and placed in the Maschine library file? Is there a risk of losing the patterns? Thanks

@ ew - Glad to see that it was ok'd to be posted.

@ Mr Mahogany - I replaced these with the actual factory kits. I also downloaded the patterns from the other sticky. That way by default the kits load without any patterns but if I care to see what pattern originally went with the kit I can. I would back up the originals first though if you plan to replace like I did.

    @ jhinden - You're welcome.

    dumb question

Hi there all... I've downloaded these groups and am just wondering where am I supposed to put them? I've seen the directory where my OWN groups are saved (C:/Users/Scott/Documents/Native Instruments/Groups), but is this where I should put them? I couldn't actually find the folder that contains the factory groups... is there one that I should be overwriting? Or should I just load them up as my OWN groups and navigate through them from there?

    I'm using Vista 64. Thanks!

you should put them in your User Library.

I replaced the groups folder in mydocs/NI/maschine/ and now maschine crashes when trying to load a bank. I deleted the files out, and mascine loads properly. I am on win xp.

i hope you didn't replace the Groups - part of the Maschine Library - that came on the Install Disk?

the groups uploaded here, should have been put in your User Folder.

fwiw, with the 1.1. update you have the option of loading Groups - a drum kit - without the Patterns.
