dont know what others say but for my personal ear you could level the snare a bit down or take a lil compression away, perhaps pan or cut the low frequencies of the bass to make the kick come punchier when they play together...

sorry, what do you mean by sample vocals kanye style?

do you mean the effect he has on his vocals?

Post a Kanye song and the song that he sampled, so we can compare.

i presume youve never spun no vinyl before , speed up the vinyl and walla magic high pitched vocals.
its picking the rvinyl and finding the best part to sample thats the problem,

start to dig and find samples you think will work.

you just sample the song at the original pitch an then use the Pitch knob in Maschine to play it higher.

This one is growing on me, but I know it can be better. In the sample I can hear a mean bassline, but you'll need to boost the lower freq to bring it alive. Also try to filter out the strings with the LP filter in some parts of the song. And I'd add a little reverb to the sample.

I agree with Lotuz. This beat grew on me real quick. That's a pretty dope sample. And yes, get that bass in there. I like it though, especially the "hook" portion.

    Whats up everyone...

Myself, Pawcut, Soulseize and many others are awaiting the winners for the redlight boogie remix...

So its been a little bit since Ive got on the maschine, made a little sample remix beat from the famous Mannfred Mann's Earth Band - Blinded By The Light

and what do they say on youtube? lol rate/comment subscribe, sure lol, let me know what you think

OH btw, I didnt use my headphones while i made this beat this time, I used my studio monitors from beginning to finish and I must say it helps a lot, less mastering ( which i suck at btw) but earlier on my redlight boogie remix everyone was saying lower the hats and raise the voice. I think the volume in all parts on this remix have improved...

alright alright, now go peep it! :D

my mind has been so poisened by a german disco-house track sampled this one that was played over and over on tv , radio everywhere the last years....i cant fall in love with the sample anymore , not your fault......
what i miss is a baseline to bring in some lows...
in my ears sample comes over a lil thin (some maximizing ?), drum levels seem ok ...
    nagging ...can't stop ,won't stop.. ;)

I like the sample. Makes me think of:

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NH6BjUihMSM"]YouTube- Killarmy - Wu-Renegades[/ame]

It needs a bassline though as is made clear by the Killarmy track.

I get the idea you're rushing to get as many beats as out as possible, but better take your time and don't post incomplete beats.

if you dont mind me sharing my knowledge

panning your kicks makes me feel disorientated,

secondly i agree that you need a bass line the track suffers from bottomend starvation,

also the kicks sound weak in the low end as well there nice in the low mid - mid range but have no real thump to them

eq them and boost more of the low,

if your adding a bassline make sure your kick and bassline dont clash with selective eq.

    do your thing bro,

    keep moving forward

dont take no offense in my comments as i simply speaking from my own knowledge and i am trying to help you.

    ps

my fav track from your soundclick is got that bounce,

but if you listen carefully to your own work , can you notice the level differnces, the worst mix out of the bunch was "i forgot" it sounded too dirty and over compressed.

but you got some skills kid, keep it up.

    Architect, I like that beat...

imo i would take where you beat changes, (i believe its twice through the whole beat), I would probably combine it, make the beat sound not so repitive, have longer bars i guess you could say...

check out the little beat i made last night

its the blinded by the light, song was on the move blow, great song
