this may seem ameteur (it is haha) and it may not be the right place for it but can someone explain how to time stretch in ableton where I can then get it back into maschine to use in it's own software?

    anyway , short answer :
    1. when changing the bpm of the master , ableton will change tempo without changing the pitch..
    2. when clicking on an audio file,on the bottom a window named sample will show up, if you adjust the transpose knob sample will be timestretched individually.

last but not least , u got a multiclient soundcard ,resample in maschine.
u dont have one , save ur audio file via audi export in ableton as a wav, (master or single tracks)

dope beat iDP! you remixed one of my favorite tracks

only advise I can give you is to try to add some more contrast to the hook to make the track a bit more varied...

but again: good job! (didn't top the original though:p )

I like it a lot, but the Banbarra drums sound too thin like this imo. Too anonymous. It's been a while (about eight years I think) since I used those drums:

If I were you I'd go back and eq the drums.

I understand this might be in the wrong section but i believe that most of the people that come to the hiphop thread use pitch bend on the keyboard, I would love to! only problem is on my m-audio oxygen49 key its not working at all, keys work fine but pitched bend doesnt, any ideas? I looked at the midi in and out and its on obviously because the keys work but is there something i missed maybe?

ok Sowari, let me confirm, your saying its not my keyboard thats malfunctioning? its actually because the maschine is not capable of receiving' pitch bend' signal(s) from an external midi keyboard?

Can't wait for that Pitch Bend!

Here is a new beat that I started today. It's still a work in progress. Let me know what you think though. Thanks. :)

Personally, I think it's pretty dope.

Now that was sick! I liked it alot. I love electronica elements, and those drums! I haven't heard a break beat like that in almost 10 years.

Where's the bass? I need bass!

I like how you flipped the samples. I've heard it before on Screwball's Take It There, but it sounds completely different now. That reversed sample works really well.

Dark Warz 2 got my head moving too. Nice drums. Are those samples from a movie soundtrack? It sounds cinematic.

    Thanks.

I'll be adding some bass soon. I'm kinda drained actually. Plus, I've been playing Mass Effect 2 ALOT lately. I've got 48 hours in, and I'm at the last stage. :D

I know it's always naive to think you got a sample that my have, by some galactic miracle, been looked over. That's what I get for living on the West Coast I guess...lol:S

You're knowledge of Hip-Hop is remarkable...but I was almost floored when I read this. You don't recognize Star Wars? Somewhere a nerd just got his ass kicked. All those samples are from the soundtrack to Empire Strikes Back (favorite movie ever).

I have seen all the Star Wars movies, but apparently I didn't pay that much attention to the music.

Lotuz...I just tried to PM you, but since my post count is so low, I got the big negatory...haha. I didn't want to post this link in here, because I didn't make any of these beats on Maschine, and honestly, there are a few tracks on the project that I don't like. But screw it...here it is.

    Ron G - Sometimes EP

It's a small little project I helped this local cat with. It's free, so hopefully that adds to the appeal. ;)
Edit: Oh, and I dropped the 1st verse on track 8...sooo rusty. haha

I like Murderous Mindstate and Warrior Manifesto (although I wouldn't have used the mandolin-like sample myself), but the banger is Sometimes. And I have to ask you again... Where's the bass? Just a simple sinebass would do the job. The lyrics remind me of Nice & Smooth btw.

And yes, your flow is a bit rusty on that track. ;)
