That's a hot beat.

The drums are a bit bassy though and the hi-hat too subtle. I'd like to hear some sparkle. Like pawcut said, a perfect beat for Ghost and Rae.

In the youtube tutorial #3 it says you can add existing samples from your external drives. When this is done, does Maschine copy the files to your library on the computer HD? Or does the drive need to remain connected to access those samples? I assume it would copy somewhere, but I want to make sure...

 

Until the 1.5 update Maschine does not "Consolidate Audio" copies all project-related files into one folder. therefore unless you copy the files, Maschine will not copy them for you.

hopefully the public beta will start in the next few days.

the bass is too sub bassy for me or maybe it should be louder - you could use sidechain compression triggered by the kick.

@TacOffice HereWeAre is cool. The vocal sample sounded a tiny bit too loud to me, like it was sitting above the track, instead of embedded into it. Also, I would throw a distortion or some sort of fx on the vocals...but that's a personal pref. GoodNews is dope! I like aggressive tracks.

 

Nekkron thanks man, yea i definitely feel you on the effects...it actually has a lot of chorus fx on it already, and it sounds dope on my monitors..maybe i need to switch it up though :S

and as for distortion, i already tried that, its not coming out how i hear it in my head..any pointers anyone on using distortion....ALSO, is there anyway to drag out the sound like a resonance with no effect i just want the vocal to kinda of have a dragging echo sound....

Hey, what is a good keyboard to use in concert with maschine? Right now all I have is the maschine, but I find myself wishing I had the functionality of a keyboard at spots.

I should say what's a good "cheap" keyboard. This is still just a hobby, and I'm not trying to drop a ton of money on hardware.
