@johnnybvo Do you want a keyboard synth? Or are you looking for a midi keyboard that will play your selected Maschine pad?

Okay, so the 1.5 Beta is out, and I tried a few things. One being the MPC import. Well, it didn't work quite as well as I wanted. All it did was load the sounds to the pads...and not all of the sounds got added. None of the sequencing made it over either. So basically, I could have just browsed for each of these individual sounds, loaded each one manually, and had the same results. Unless I did something wrong that is.

Either way, here is the re-creation of the beat by way of Maschine. Of course...I added a couple things I couldn't add with the MPC. ;)

Make sure to report ANY import issues you find and submit the files to support for analysis.

That's the only way such issues can be fixed.

    1.5 update youtube vid

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9KHOBTC9e4"]YouTube- 03_Sampling_01_NI_lo 1.5[/ame]

correct me if im wrong but with this new update, its almost has the same feature as ableton live, the "warp" feature where you can edit or take out each individual transient...for instance if something is not exactly on beat, go to edit, then change start and or stop points, correct it and hit play and boom on beat...

but still no timestretch i see grr

Sorry about that. It wasn't really meant to start a discussion about the issues. It was just meant as a bit of background info on the beat. Won't happen again!

Two new beats I made today:

    Happy :)

I took a Bert Kaempfert CD from my dad, because I remembered there were some nice samples on it. I just couldn't resist sampling this song. :p

    Unhappy :(

This is the serious one though.

 , always remarkable how u make stuff ur own , like u using the sample instead of the sample using u for new drums ,i like the bass on unhappy ......
the "less serious " happy one might still be a serious de la soul joint from back in the days :D

@Lotuz Happy is cool. Reminds me of some far out Pharcyde type stuff...not really my thing, but it's cool. But Unhappy...Love it! Sounds like an emcee could just devour it!

I like how you flipped the sample for unhappy. The horns in the back are fresh. Thumbs up...

Seems like I gotta post some of m<y stuff too :)

Umm, I don't think it matters much. I guess a keyboard that has its own sounds would be nice, to add to what maschine has, but if the cost is too prohibitive, I would go with a midi keyboard. Assuming that's cheaper.

MIDI Keyboards that just send MIDI are much cheaper.

Thanks guys. I wasn't sure about Unhappy, but strangely enough those are the beats people seem to like most. And yes, I like to flip samples, because I want to create something new instead of adding new drums to old songs.

    DITC style?

I'm a bit of a chameleon myself. Whatever style fits the samples. But with my own flavor.
