speaking of sampling from movies today i found a piece of software which lets you convert movie files to wav such a nice way of being able to add in pieces of a movie so lotuz if you did this and had across 110th street on your computer you could find that song you were lookin for and chop it up right now i'm messin with enter the dragon

 

No, I had that movie on VHS (recorded from TV). So the sound quality wasn't great to begin with. And then you have all the noise, voices etc. from the movie itself to filter out. That's why I was hoping for a good quality OST. Like the one from Enter The Dragon.

Now raise the levels of the samples a little or lower the level of the drums a little.

And I'd use some reverb on the samples, because they sound very dry now.

Also experiment with different velocities on the drums to make it less mechanical, unless that's the sound you're after.
