Maschine in Ableton VST

I have 2 instances of Maschine in Live 8 both routed to 8 separate tracks each. Alls fine except when I click on a group to load one shot samples I can only load on per group? So i can't load a bunch of one shot samples and record them as separate midi notes only one will record and play back. I know how to route but am stumped on this one. Anybody want to correct me please! Thanks folks!

 

are you recording the Pattern in Ableton or Maschine?

have you used Sounds MIDI Batch Setup to map your notes?

Yes I'm recording into Live and have the Maschine instance set up the way the ST. Joe tutorial states.

 

does it work with 1 Instance of Maschine?

It's strange. I seem to ok now but my Midi batch settings seem to return to default all the time without me changing it? If I make an adjustment in the sounds sections say enable a channel to record into Live with it sometimes changes the Midi batch settings.

 

the MIDI Batch Setting in terms of what you see reflects the last Group you changed. so, if you change Group B and then look at Group A, you will still see the settings for Group B.... yes it is confusing

Well I was adjusting sound midi settings in the sounds groups within the group itself, will this change midi batch group settings in another group? Say for instance group A's midi batch settings is set to sound to midi notes channel 1 and then in group B I go into the sounds (1-16) sound midi settings and after this group A's midi batch setting defaults back to default settings. Is this normal?
