Yes, Jam like and Studio like extensions to MK3 would be awesome.

Wtf, I have to get into this. I hope to write a script for Renoise and Jam at some point (as soon as I have time for this).

Renoise also allows you to use Lua as a scripting language, so there is a lot possible there.

Also Logic would be awesome with deeper integration with the new pattern view.

I'm really sorry about Jam. I saw a potential in my workflow and now it starting to look like Ableton Push is better solution, they keep there's products update to last, maybe it is not so good for finger druming but from what I saw tiny screens are giving a clear visual feedback, playing with so many pads, scales, chords, arp, more patterns to retrig, more scenes to retrig... Maybe NI want for Maschine to be specific instrument for a couple of genres in mind. I can live without Jam but it would be hard so now I will become a Lazy producer with Variation Mode only and a good production and good sound quality. I have a dream about music and Maschine mk3 give me part of it but compared to PUSH or JAM it is hard to program sequence and seq. modulation and so many things are better... VARIATION MODE choose good sounds and do your best for mix and master VARIATION MODE and LOCK STATES are our last hope, I mean who is playing samples , it is a toy and can be entertaining for listeners but for autentic sound...I don't see it that way, it is much easier to make your bass than to do scientist measurment and than pich time strech. JAM was like a other half of the Maschine and now we now that we have left with only one half so VARIATION MODE with LOCK STATES

I am waiting for another Jam. Even if it does not come out. If it comes out, definitely buying one.

I would by discounted version, the Maschine Jam but I don't know what about future support? How is going to work with future updates. I like touch strips compared to encoders on mk3 and I would love having a clean sequencer like on Jam but if Jam 2 happened I will buy it defenetly. I'm still thinking about Maschine+ and all time I needed to work, create , music producing and releasing then talk to so many people promoting my music and at the end I susced with Maschine mk3 but it took me 2 years and maybe I could buy something else or wait and spend casually but Jam... I wanted to buy two days ago than I saw it is discounted. Living from music is very hard and defenetly not easy job. Creative part is best part of my life a moment of truth and inspiration and Maschine mk3 that provides a quick results and I wanted to enhance that process. Jam 2 ! ! !

Depending on your area, there are good second hand deals for the JAM around.

I'm thinking about it, also I asked a few YT folks how's there's expirense and actually I can buy full price 300 euro at store but I don't see anything about Jam on NI site and that's my biggest consideration.

NI added support for the JAM to the Maschine+ on the latest update. So... it seems they care for it more than their website might suggest. Also, you find all the info and manuals for the JAM in the support section. IMHO, the combination of Maschine+ and JAM is brilliant and definitely a case of "the whole is more than the sum of its elements", and I would expect event more so with an Mk3.

If you love working with Maschine, and find a new JAM in a store, I'd go for it.

I feel like there's a Jam MK2 being tested somewhere. It was a great 1st gen product I regret selling for cheap. Itching to buy a used one. Someone in Germany makes a Maschine and Jam stand too:

A jam mark 2, shouldn't that be a ipad pro app?

Let face it the next device when it drops will be a touch screen device, so why reinvent that wheel, why not just go stright to the ubiquitous touch interface.

If they are to come out with yet another box, then it should be a complete rethink on how you create midi data, eg using the same program, but with a different interface.

There are so many other concepts out there for generating midi and interacting with sequences, that you could create a 'soft device' with this in mind. Add a few buttons and surfaces for their tactile nature, but build it to be reconfigured.

Imagine from one year to the next, or one expansion pack to the next, a new skin, or a new look, or a new interface to the same program?

Imagine a new paradigmn based on the designer or architects of these new interfaces. New ways to see information, albeti tied to the same fundamental software.

[just relised this is an old thread and we've said all this a thousand times before...]

I'm not against a Jam companion app for those who prefer. Still, the buttons, knobs and dedicated touch surfaces of hardware are still in high demand. While I liked the concept of Beatmaker 3, Cubasis, and iMaschine as an iPad solution, I did grow tired of the constant tapping, dragging, pinching and menu diving to fit form factor. The Maschine and Jam were designed to keep our eyes off the screen for most of the creative process. I think this is the company goal and I really appreciate it.

Yea i was considering buying that one on ebay. But I don't want MDF for a premium price. Maschine Jam is more useful than people give it credit for. Especially for ideas view while simultaneously working on the maschine mk3

The Jam is like an extension of the main controller. It’s not the mk2/mk3/+, but it’s everything those can’t be! It’s like, the MK can be without the Jam, but without the Jam they cannot be!

Because a lot was promised with Jam's release that didn't materialise, I think Jam was seen more for what it wasn't, than what it actually was.
Those that use it can't really imagine being without it.

Mutis Is that screenshot for the NI comment you see? If that's the case, this is just the doing of our community managers, it doesn't have more tangible meaning than what they think at that moment ;)
