    Let's say I have a drum group on A

I want to control BOTH a stutter on one touch strip and let's say a filter on another ... It seems you can't do that?!

Yes, you can! You can use all the perform FX simultaneously on one Kit if you want! Just route the group audio - that´s it.

    i.e.:
    1. Load a kit into Group A
    2. Set a perform FX (stutter) to Group A
    3. Setup Group B with the next perform FX (filter)
    4. Now route Group A into Group B (Group output section)
    5. push the performance button -> now you can play your Kit and use the both perform FX
    6. For more perform FX -> add a new Group (Group C) and also route Group B into Group C
    7. Have fun!

    Conclusion:
In perform mode you´ll see all the perform FX on the smart strips - for your kit in Group A.
Additionally you´re able to route another kits into the "perform FX groups". And of course you can automate it. Try it!
If you guys have another workflow, please share!

    ^ Good stuff.

The only alternative I can think of using Aux sends instead of Group routings, which might enhance the workflow by being able to swap out different kits but not losing the first Perform FX on Group A. The only issue I see, which exists in both workflows is that loading a new kit will wipe out all routings including aux or group, so you'd have to save each kit with these routings to retain them :( ( same age old bug)

To do the aux routing, first load Group A with your kit , without any FX added.

Then, add Group B with Perform FX 1 (Aux 1)
and Group C with Perform FX 2 (Aux 2)

You would then route Group A's aux1 and aux2 respectively to the FX groups B & C, and then be able to create patterns in Group A to change the automations. I believe in this case, each FX would be controlled by Groups B/C from the Jam controller strips. The group in focus would have control (I think)

Still, losing the group/aux routings when swapping kits is the real workflow killer here. NI really needs to fix that imo.

Using the AUX send isn't effective in this scenario, because some perform effects need the original signal to be not audible. With the AUX routing you'll always hear the original group audio and the FX group's audio at the same time.

Hmmm.. Good point, and it makes sense but why not just automate the original group audio to a mute, and then all you have is the original sound as an aux to wet FX on Group B or C ?

Regardless, Supercreative's method might be the most straightforward.

The only FX i like is the stutter FX nice for dubstep.
Only i like to see that the track stops playing ad the hitting point of the stutter and plays along when i released.
    That will be great.

Loading Groups overrides any Sound-level routing, but loading Groups does not override/overwrite Group-level main or aux output routings. It did temporarily (a bit back), but was fixed (a while ago). Give it a go and, please, report back if you find a situation where this does not work.

    Welcome back!
I didn't checked specifically if reloading a group is not overriding the aux settings on group level.

Had similar thoughts at first. Then I took my time to really get to know the effects in depth. Tweaked every parameter to my liking and saved that as default for the Perform FX. While I found the factory settings a little dull, now I start off with something more usable right after loading the effect.

Some effects are more subtle (tremolo especially), others are more versatile. With the right combinations of parameters, some effects really sound nice. I liked the Reso Echo very much at second glance. So it may be worth it to give the effects a second chance.
