Maschine keeps scanning VSTs every time I open it

Please help!

Maschine was working fine until I transferred pulling my sounds from my computers hard drive to my external hard drive. Ever since then when I open Maschine, it scans and says "updating db", progress. How can I stop this scanning every time I close and open Maschine?

That doesnt stop Maschine from scanning for VSTs thou, I had problem a little while, where everytime I started Maschine it would scan all vsts again, this would take a long time due to my Waves Beta testing, so I ended up moving the scan-app on windows here

 

Just create another folder but keep the files in the common folder path?

 

Thanks you all, I appreciate it. The video didn't really fix the issue. Im so frustrated with this. But I really appreciate the response. As for now It still scans (images A) for about 2 mins then opens. After Maschine is open, I go to select a vst and it shows (image B), and does not open a sound. In the area for expansions when I open one of them it says (image C), but this one actually does open after the error screen.

 

What exactly did you move to your external HD? Just libraries or did you move plugins and whatnot?
Is it updating NKS tags at every launch?

 

Initially I had all of the libraries installed to my external hard drive. I would use it portable if traveling to a studio using my laptop. But at home I had the same library on the actual iMac desktop hard drive. This worked fine. I was running out of space so I removed the desktop libraries which was a copy of what was on the external hard drive. So I really didn't move libraries, I just moved where Maschine is looking for the data. And yes it's updating tags at every launch. I also find it weird that it loads prismatic bliss ever time too. Thank you for your assistance.

I also found a link (below) saying to reinstall from Native Access that is supposed to work and it still isnt working for me. Still saying files cant be found. I closed and relaunched Maschine and its giving me the same error. Idk man. I wonder if I should just delete everything. Not sure.

How? Did you change paths in Machine preferences? Or did you use relocate inside NA?

 

I'm not sure I remember bro. Someone in NI offices gave me instructions. I deleted a file they said to delete. Then this started happening. It was a (ummmm) wal-bdb file or something like that. I really cant remember. I uninstalled maschine as well as kontakt 5 and its still not working correctly. I get the "Error Hybrid Keys could not be loaded" box. I'll try whatever you suggest. It seems to be completely broken at this point. Some extensions work ok and others say "Missing plug-ins, The following plug-ins could not be loaded:, Unknown Plugin. When I hit "more info" on this page it takes me to an NI page that doesnt exist. idk what to do.

 

So I've gotten it to load sounds with no problem not. VSTs as well as expansions. It is still conducting a scan upon re-launch for some reason. Updating tags and factory tags, prismatic bliss, and scanning db it says. Still no luck with that.

 

I understood from D-one that if you slide with the content, this will cause major problems on a Mac. If I understand correctly you use two computers. I think a re installation will solve your problem the quickest. I found the following on the NI support site if you want to use the content on an external drive on two computers.

Usually, it doesn't cause problems but I have seen a couple of users report similar issues recently, I think changes made in 2.8 aren't helping. Also, there seems to be more than 1 issue.
"Error Hybrid Keys could not be loaded" usually means you dont have Kontakt V6.1+ installed, or Maschine can't find it for some reason. (i've seen users move the VST's themselves to an external, not sure if that's the case or not, that's a big no-no)

Seedy eyes Post a screenshot of your Preferences > Plug-Ins > Manager / Location, also from Library > Factory/User.

Do those file paths Maschine match the paths in NA and point to the correct place?
