I believe this is by design to keep it from losing connection to the software.

no, this is a brand new occurrence after having Maschine for almost two years.

All programs are closed, and Maschine is dormant when I put my computer to sleep. When waking up the pc, Maschine decides it wants every single pad and button to light up.

I have seen another post by someone with a similar problem, but that went unanswered.

    EDIT:
    Problem fixed.
Uninstalled the Controller Editor. Showed it who's boss!

    I wouldn't say that's "problem fixed"...

Anyhoo, the same thing's happening to mine after I installed the 1.7.2 update along with the Controller Editor update. It's never happened before. I'm on OSX so it doesn't seem to be a PC/Mac specific issue.

The Controller Editor version I have installed right now is 1.4.3 (R891). I also have the latest Controller Driver 2.4.21.

Interesting that the 1.7.2 update says "Controller sleep mode fixed". Wonder if this is related and whether it's really fixed.

Noticed this guy also has the same problem: http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/showthread.php?t=153834

I have the same issue and didn't update the OS yet. I never had this problem until after I used the Control Editor.

My solution was just unplugging Maschine when I am not using it.

Are you guys talking about when your computer is in sleep mode or when waking it up from sleep mode?

That's what I thought, it seemed like a few were talking about when maschine software is off period.

Yeah, I really believe this is part of the update, to keep it from losing connectivity when awaking from sleep mode. I could be wrong but I'm thinking that's what they did.

For me, I can close Maschine's software and the hardware will turn off. But a few hours later, the hardware will turn on without me doing anything.

Yep, same here. Dam annoying having to press Shift Control everytime I wake my iMac up from sleep. Dam Maschine lights up like a Xmas tree. Please remove this feature, or at least make it an option somewhere.

Same issue on my end. I'm curious to know what issues were there before with connectivity and sleep mode. I've had maschine since it was released and have never had issues with the Maschine controller working properly when I wake up my Mac. Now after two years there is an issue.

The problem they refer to may have been Maschine loosing communication with USB MIDI controllers and/or MIDI interfaces.
I haven't seen that happen anymore since 1.7.2 was released.

Turn off sleep mode. Sorry I could not resist but is this not a well known no no for a DAW?

The problem I was referring to actually had nothing to do with the using sleep mode, as you say it not something you enable on a DAW machine.

The problem I was referring to was that Maschine would intermittently lose the use of the assigned MIDI devices.
You would have to unselect the MIDI connection, then go back a reselect it to wake the device.

It was a Maschine problem since no other application would experience the problem and Maschine would do it with various controllers through any type of connection.

I just mentioned this because it would happen when Maschine was on for extended periods and I haven't seen it since going to 1.7.2 .

same problem here. very annoying. whomever keeps suggesting that we turn off sleep mode is very annoying, too. this is clearly a bug that needs to be addressed. like everyone here, it started after i installed the controller update. i'm on a mac.
