I have a maschine mikro, now as good as it is im starting to have doubts on needing it and selling it instead -.- anyone know the best way to use it live with my setup? io got a all-in-one controller and im more of a mashup producer but i want to start making some personal remixes, anyone know the best use for the mikro? i was thinkin to buy ableton and use the maschine as a controller but i want to know for sure before doing anything else

You haven't said anything about your setup apart from 'all-in-one controller', so no, probably not. What do you produce mashups on, if you haven't got Ableton?

First off, Don't keep the mikro JUST to control Ableton! There are far better Ableton controllers for the same price.
However, from first impressions of your post (of course, I may be wrong) I think you just need to spend more time learning the software and integrating it to your needs.

The best use for Maschine? That's completely down to you! I'm sure everyone that replies will use it slightly differently, because it's pretty damn versatile!

Stick with it, and get your head around it a little bit more. There's clearly something about it that lured you into buying it so pursue that a little more.

As in Virtual DJ? No, Maschine cannot run within Virtual DJ, as it is not a VST host.
It sounds to me like VDJ is your problem, not Maschine, and I think a more advanced piece of DJ software would be what you're actually after.

Have a look at some videos of people syncing software such as Traktor to Maschine. It's done simply via MIDI clock (I don't think VDJ can do that, but I may be wrong!) and would do the task I am imagining you are after.

Best use for Maschine Mikro is to control the Maschine software, as that's what it's intended for. There are plenty of other controllers out there, so maybe it's not the right thing for you. Figure out exactly what you want a controller to do, then look around for something that fits.
