I have midi mapped my Maschine MK2 controller for Traktor in similar fashion to Ean Golden's Midi Fighter instant gratification mapping. What I notice is more often than not, when i trigger a pad to beatmash, the beatmasher is off beat. I beat grid accurately and this wasn't an issue with the Kontrol S4. I was able to beatmash kicks n snares perfectly on the S4, granted the beat grid was accurate. Is there some kinda latency between the traktor software and the maschine hardware controller going on?

for example: drum pad 10 is assigned to - knob 1 direct value .5, button 1, dry/wet direct 100%, and turn fx 1 on deck A ... assigned to HOLD ... by assigning so many functions to one pad, is that causing the latency?

seems to be by assigning fx 1 to a deck where the issue is ...

I think this is your problem. A lot of traktors effects need to buffer the audio first. This only starts happening when you assign the deck to the fx unit so you can't make this assignment on the fly. You need to make the assignment and then use the fx units on/off.

I've just picked up the mk2 primarily for production, but would love to incorporate its use into my live sets. I've toyed around with some traktor mappings using the mk2 as a 4 deck controller in a CDJ setup...but when I'm using my s4 it's not really needed. I would love to have the instant grat midi fighter mapping, but I see its only really available for the first generation maschine. I really need to teach myself to map myself. K Jovan is there any way youd be willing to give yours a try? Thanks
