The MIDI sync for the Maschine+ in standalone mode is driving me crazy!
If I use the Mascine+ as master, my Analog Four, Digitakt and Octatrack are completely out of sync, even against each other. Then again, if I use the Maschine+ as a slave it wont react to the start/stop signal and sometimes don't even get the clock signal. Does anyone have a solution to this?
I would have liked to use the Maschine+ as the brains for the DAWless setup, but that wont happen if the clock doesn't work correctly!

    How are they connected?
My xm and mc101 synced ok , but at one point it sounded a little off so , I messed with the midi delay knob and it sort of re synced it , maybe a bug like the soundcard knob .

For me its also ok. I have the M+ as a slave to my Force. And it works ok, a little ms delay is not to avoid.

This is weird! I booted the Maschine in controller mode, activated MIDI there and went back to standalone mode and it worked. Now it acts as the master and the sync is tight. I tried about 15 times to sync before this and it never worked. Just strange.

How‘s the MIDI signal flow, and which ports are you using on each device? Sounds silly but may have a huge impact on timing between the devices.

They go through Blokas Midi-Hub in such a way, that the Elektron machines are A+B+C ports, both in and out, then Maschine+ is D-in on the Blokas and a daisy-chain to a Minitaur, Slim Phatty, Crave and Neutron D-out. Without changing anything I did manage to make it work by starting Maschine+ as a controller in Maschine, and after that it has worked in perfect sync. Nothing makes sense, but at least it works now

Cool that you could get it to work!

To get the best timing for the Elektron devices, I'd try to connect an Overhub (or equivalent MTT USB 3.0 Hub) to one of the the Maschine+ USB ports and connect the Elektron devices to that USB Hub to get much higher MIDI transfer rates than over traditional MIDI cables. Then you could also connect the other synths in parallel.

I had a similar issue with the midi DIN input and transport not working at all and I booted in controller mode on complete accident and it magically started working. There are some odd tricks like this and toggling knob 1 in audio settings that seem to make the M+ function as intended that I am grateful for lol.

I still cannot get my Maschine+ to respond to any MIDI, even after confirming that the MIDI port is activated.

How tight is the M+ as master clock for your Elektrons? Do you consider it equally as good as the Octa? I'm having inconsistent results with my M+ as master clock, not as tight as when i'm using my Octa or SP-16 to send clock. It's really weird because so many users report being happy with the M+ midi clock, while i'm experiencing jitter when driving other sequencers, similar to the Maschine software on a Windows PC.
It's annoying because the M+ is perfect on paper, but i've never had clock issues with the Octa nor the SP-16, both are just super tight from the moment you hit play. While my M+ is off, at least enough for me to notice it in comparison. Curious to hear your experience.

It's OK as a master as long as I use the "restart" button instead of start. But the Maschine+ is completely useless as a slave, which is a drag since I want to be able to multitrack and use Overbridge for the Analog Four and Digitakt. I can sync everything outside Logic with Maschine+ as the master but everything falls apart when it's a slave. So at the moment I can't multitrack record my imrovs and sessions, which is the whole point of an outboard setup.

I get the same thing every once in a while. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. And it doesn't seem to have any difference of how the settings are setup. Must be some sort of a bug
