    Hi.

Will there be a crosgrade offer for kore users on the maschine mikro like there is on the big brother?

    regards
    Kim

Same question from me. I've already got the full version of Maschine, so the Kore->Maschine crossgrade is useless to me, but if the crossgrade price was right I might be interested in a Mikro for taking with me when I'm away with work.

    Me, too

I'm also curious...if the price is right, I'll bite, but right now $400 is a bit steep for the full Machine.

A software-only offering would be nice. I have a Kore controller that I never wanted and wouldn't have bought if they'd offered software-only for Kore from the start.

Using Maschine with the Kore controller would be pretty tough IMO.
Least not as there's very limited automation access to Maschine (only the 8 macros per-group afaik)

Every parameter that a VST makes available to the host can be automated. You'd be stuffed without pads though, you need them to navigate around Maschine.

If you use mikromaschine midi in kore 2 you have benefit of :

Indepandent controls beetween knob parameters and groups,sounds,scenes....

Direct and infinite vst id's communication with daw+ knobs settings.

Midi throught vst i/fx can be recorded simply and directly in the daw.

That's why a crossgrade can be a very sympatic thing for some koreites.

Am I completely missing something then?

I've just fired up Maschine as both AU and VST inside of Kore (2); I click User and Learn in Kore, then move a group master vol - nothing.
In Maschine, I load Absynth patch '4th Dimension', with Learn still active in Kore, I click & drag the params available in the patch default - still nothing happening between Kore and Maschine.

Kore, itself, makes 8 pages of group macros - 1-8 are Maschine's Groups A-H.

I get the same in Live (the only DAW I use so I cannot test on other DAW's).

So, if I am missing a trick here then I'd love to be enlightened. I'd love more external control over Maschine and it's external automation as I'd like to feed automation data from dummy-clips in Live to Maschine as a plug-in.

i don't understand why you are loading Maschine inside Kore, if you are loading an Absynth Patch in Maschine.

if you have the Absynth 5.1.0 update and the Maschine 1.7 update, then Absynth is automatically mapped to pages of Maschine 'Macro' knobs. 'Macro' knobs can be Automated in DAWs.

you can of course assign Kore knobs to the Maschine's Macro knobs if you would prefer.

btw, i think it is best if you ask Maschine related questions on the Maschine forum.

Mikro crossgrade could be a good deal for users but for NI...?

Me too. And there has been a software-only version. It suddenly appeared and then disappeared. I know a Kore user who asked NI when they would start selling the software-only version. Support said: never. So he bought Kore + controller and after one month... what do you think?

At one point you could get just the software but when I bought my Kore 2 (last Nov) it had gone.

I don't see a crossgrade offer in the works for Kore 2 owners for the mkiro maschine. Just the big daddy...which I bit the bullet and ordered yesterday. Yep. I have crossed to the dark side...but

I'm excited...after all that's transpired on this forum since the Kore packs final offer was released, all our talks about it, how to get as many packs as we could as cheap as we could - that was so much fun. Now I'm moving to the dark side...the enemy camp...away from mother Kore....to big daddy Maschine...and I am sad...as this has been an adventure from the beginning.

I will never forget the Kore People. I will always be one of you. So long, my friends. Good luck...

if you are talking about a software only version of Maschine - for me that does not make sense at all, as the Controller and Hardware are so tightly integrated.

and btw, it is no good asking support about the future of any NI Product - they really do not know.

One more vote for the micro crossgrade. If however this doesn't happen then I was wondering how well I can fade out my kore controller with the (large) mashine one. Do the knobs offer the same resolution as Kore? or just standard midi? Anyone successfully done the replacement?

apparently the Maschine Controller knobs offer the same resolution.

and i would carry keep the Kore Controller. for instance you can assign Specific Macro Knobs to External knobs using CCs and this can be useful to have when you are moving to different pages in Maschine.
