Hi guys - I have trawled the forums for an answer but there doesn't appear to be any accurate, detailed information regarding using the Mikro MK3 with Logic Pro X.

I know you can use Maschine 2 as a plugin in Logic but can the MK3 be used as a midi controller to play the Logic Pro X software instruments? Maschine 2 does not provide for a lot of the classical instruments that Logic does and I bought the MK3 assuming this would be easy to do.

    Thank you

Yes , shift and the maschine logo puts the controller in midi mode
Download this controller editor template for transport and pads

Thank you very much for this and for taking the time to create the template. I have caught up reading through the notes you previously exchanged with someone else on this - Did you ever make the video you talked about explaining how all this works?

    Thanks

One of the things I want to be able to do is simply play Logic instruments and be able to move things up an octave easily - i.e. make C1 C

On the maschine controller hold group, that brings up the pad /octave bank

Also - There's a lot of different links to templates - which one should I use? Thank you again!

The first template is a controller template it has just the transport and pads and the encoder moves the playhead

The second template again for the controller, has transport , pads and control for logic on the other buttons + encoder , move playhead and scrub

The third template is a project template for logic using maschine as a multi timbral plugin , so each sound is on its own channel and can be played chromatically on the keyboard

So you can use either one of the first 2 ,
and the 3rd can be used with them
