    Hi,

I would like to extend the 4x4 pad square of my Maschine Mikro. For example, I would like to use a 8x8 pad square to add more flexibility. Is it possible to use one of them like Novation launchpad S? Is it possible to map MIDI codes of these bigger pad squares with Maschine Mikro?

Thanks in advance for your attention.

    Alessandro.

Sure. your active sound will respond to incoming midi notes just fine. Make sure you've set your midi controller's MIDI input to 'ON' in "Audio and MIDI Settings...". By default all additional MIDI devices are 'OFF'.

I have to do specific setup with Controller Editor? Or the keyboard mode on Machine Mikro automatically catches the extended MIDI note of the 8x8 pad square?

You don't have to do anything extra. Workflow:
    1. select a sound using Mikro or via software
    2. play with your controller
    3. profit
To go beyond this you could map sounds to respond to specific midi channels and so you could have a dedicated midi controller for 16 different sounds.

This is clear, ok. But I lost a bit of information. Do different MIDI channels have to select through a specific interface of the external pad square? For example, does Novation launchpad (that I want to get it) have an interface to setup MIDI channels?
