I was also able to get a Maschine K1 working on Catalina, but I didn't have to search or change any files or anything.

I just downloaded the "MASCHINE Controller Driver 2.8.0 - Mac OS X 10.9 - 10.11" Controller Driver software, even thought I am running MacOS 10.15.7 Catalina:

    https://www.native-instruments.com/en/support/downloads/drivers-other-files/

After the install process, it fails as described, but I just rebooted the machine. Then I saw the "System extension blocked" dialog pop up and I allowed the extension. After that, opening the "Controller Editor" software from NI caused the Maschine to light up and it's all systems go :)

Thank you! Worked perfectly with my old X1-controller! Running latest beta version of Big Sur.

Updated the thread title so anyone searching for Big Sur solutions can also find this thread more easily.

As that first link doesn't seem to work, I tried installing the Maschine_Controller_280_Mac_p, and it fails, but it doesn't show up any notification to allow the extension, even if I go into System Preferences and Security and Privacy pane. When I connect my Maschine MK1, just a lot of blinking lights come on for a few seconds and then it shuts off, never recognised by the computer. I'm running a MacBook Air M1 with Big Sur. Any tips?

Hey, Trying to get my MK1 to work with BigSur. And the link provided on page 1 seems to no longer work :( -

Does anyone have another link or copy of the original instructions?\

    - Or do I not need that now?

That's expected. I edited the title again to make it clear that this is an intel solution.

Has anyone figured out a way for the Maschine Mk1 to work on a M1 MacBook yet? I have found no solutions.

The solution in #21 worked great, an easy fix on Big Sur 11.6.2, on a MacPro 2013. Thanks so much for posting!
