VERY nice product placement for NI's MK2!

It appears a few times through the video.

If this is the kind of music you need to make to succeed, then please keep me in the back of the bus. The Maschine was even like..."get me out if here"

That was truly awful - but it did have Maschine in it.

I notice that most of these rap-pop-trash songs today spend most of the song talking about how everything is 'going to blow', or 'we are going out', 'we're in the club' etc. so I assume the target audience is still 12-14 year old kids.
    ---

Agreed. The Maschine's lights looked like they were panicking. Now poor Maschine has to be ridiculed by his fellow hardware for being used in such a trashy way.

i am happy maschine is a music instrument that can be used on different ways for different kinds of music. This makes it possible to make my own kind of music. It also makes it possible to make this kind of music. so what?

I don't see too many people here trashing any one genre, so I am not sure where you are coming from on this. I know I personally can appreciate good songs in every genre, just like I cringe at some songs in every genre. I found this will.i.am song terrible, even if I can appreciate the talent behind the production - thats all.

will i am is really overated some shows kiss his ass like hes the best rapper (cant rap)/singer (cant sing even with autotune).

i liked some of the early black eyed peas before he joined the illuminate and got fergie too sing.some of the tracks were good but now i just dont get it the same goes for nikki minage ive seen ladyboys that look more like women than she does ,shes the worst artist on the planet at the minute and has only got were she is by doing the things we all know shes done to get were she is..terrible person..

i think the only decent track thats got in the charts lately is rudementals track...sad days for the music buisness :(
    ---
also just because they have maschine in the vid doesnt mean there using it on the track..ive seen loads of vids with cool loooking synths in there but you dont hear them on the track .

if you dont believe me check out the vids by krs 1 and loads of others that say illuminate now control hiphop ..artists such as jayz/50 cent/kanye west/will,i,am p diddy are members ..in most of there pics and in all there vids they make the illuminate pyramid symbol they also goto gatherings of the world richest people who are members of the billderberg group also listen to how meaningless there music is and also how on earth has a crappy artist such as william got his track on a nasa mission to mars his track will be the first music ever played on mars !

there are artists that will have there music played forever until the end of time and there tracks were ignored instead they choose that muppet who looks like a black rain man (check out his eyes they move faster than a guy playing ping pong !)

i feel sorry for the aliens out there if there first contact is listening to a track by william .if i was them id vapourise this planet in a heartbeat because it ibviusly shows there is not intelligent life on this planet lol

If you aren't interested in my addressing djwaxxy's post regarding conspiracy and hiphop just skip to near the end where I write something on topic. :D

    ---------------
TOTAL HORSESHIT. Regardless of weather or not these artists use certain imagery and symbols in their videos ultimately means nothing in terms of a global conspiracy (hiphop or otherwise). Have you considered that there might be a more rational explanation? Such as these artist have simply found a new image that is very marketable. Most of these artists were "gangsters" earlier in their entertainment careers, however now it's extremely doubtful that anyone would believe them if they continued to portray this image. What's one of the next logical images to portray when you are too old and too legitimately successful to be a gang member? Strangely it would be a member of a world controlling secret society (that isn't so secret). When you consider this and the fact that a large portion of hiphop fans (at least on the interwebs) have a tendency to believe many a conspiracy (too much pot maybe?), it makes portraying ones self as a member of said secret society a very intelligent business and marketing decision.

With respect to the Bilderberg group, have you read the wikileaked meeting minutes? No sign of a quest for world domination there. It's all just influential (and yes rich) people discussing world politics in an uninhibited format.

I'm often amazed at what appears to be a total lack of recognition of the fact that any of the so called conspiracy authorities (from all across the spectrum) also have obvious and clear agendas that they never seem to remember to tell their viewers about. Fundamentally these people are just as manipulative as religious leaders who use their perceived place of authority to exploit their congregations. It all relies on taking advantage of peoples emotional states and our tendency to see patterns and agency in places there isn't.

Crying Hiphop is controlled by the illuminati is equal to saying that rock is in league with the devil.
    ----------------

But back to the topic at hand. While the will.i.am song isn't very good (I've never been a fan of the Black eye peas), I think its great that they featured Maschine in the video. After all, the more exposure NI gets for Maschine, the more units they will sell, and the more money they'll have to invest in further development of the platform. This is what we all want, right?

Personally I don't spend much time watching videos online, but so far I've noticed the MK2 has popped up in this video and the How to Destroy Angles video. Both from two very different genres. Both great product placements for NI and Maschine. I do hope this trend continues and we see more high profile artists associated with Maschine.
