am I the only one thinking the new pad lights make the maschine looks like a toy? the first maschine looks much more seriously as a controller.

but... i think that other colors on every pad are nice to have for organize..
so.. maybe looks like toy but as i know N.I are not making stupid products :)

we have to get use to it althogh i have maschine already and only if it will cost me maximum 150$ for crossgrade ill do that. till then im happy (but maybe little bit envy) :) with my maschine.

Where is the problem? Simply set all the pad lights to the same color, e.g. orange.

Does it really matter what it looks like?

It's whether or not the lights serve a purpose and adds to the functionality and workflow of Maschine that matters.

Of course, but showing the pads in different colors is the only way to show this feature on a picture.

I think you're right mate. When I was reading about the lights it said they have two lit settings, one being dim and the other being fully lit. Nothing about changing the colors.. Which actually would have been pretty cool, say set all of them to one color or the other. Divide them up however works best for you, like half one, half another, or something along those lines. Still you could always get one of those "fat pad kits" from mpcstuff or w/e and then they'd all basically look somewhat the same color. Only thing there is the lights would probably not light up as brightly.

? You can change the colours on the F1. And the screenshots from 1.8 show you can change the colours on this too. Or set it to "default", whatever that is.

First I want to clear up that you can set the pads or groups to stay at what ever you like including orange. At the very least it will look just as sharp as the original. Actually it looks nicer imo. If you think the multi colors look a bit toyish then just lock them to what you want. That's what I will do.
