I don't mind the pads but the colour on the software...that will take some getting used to. I've grown to love the minimal gray/orange theme. Maybe I'm getting on in age, but I'll be setting everything to default to start with.

In the Jeremy Ellis vid he has the pads all one color but orange on mikro and purple on phat, so would useful for assigning groups to different instrument types or uses when using two controller in a live situation.

The pads will be whatever color you choose, not multi colored, unless you choose them to be. Look at the video with Jeremy Ellis, he has pads of all the same color in a group. In the picture obviously they were showing all the colors available, they are not static colors. You can keep them all orange still if you wish :)

lol I think some are taking what people say, far to seriously. Most of us are just having a laugh and a joke. :)

I've had many ask me specifically if they will be able to change the colors or if the pads will be stuck with all those colors :)

No forced rainbow touching going on....lol

yes it looks like a kids toy with the multi coloured lights

but it will be useful to assingn colours for different content.

like i could have my vsts in green pad lights

my drums in dark blue lights and maybe percussion in light blue, then main samples in purple.

so that kind of **** should be dope

Good news, Maschine and F1 in one. More insight on the stage and a controller to carry less for live hand drummer. The Pads are have a better sensitivity, it's cool for BFD with Jazzdrumms. And a great software update. Have a nice Day.

i believe the new RGB led's r a sign that the new maschine controller will be compatible w the remix decks in traktor, which is huge since the mapping of the remix decks right now is severely limited
