Been searching online for days now for a good MK2 Traktor template. Everything seems to be catered to the MK1... It's really confusing how I can't find a single proper map. Even when I downloaded a few for the Mk1 (maschine fighter, etc) I couldn't even load them into the controller editor. Does anybody have any functional templates ? Or know where I can get them ? I've googled my heart out, any help would be appreciated guys.

I tried I think. However it seems very limited... I think its only 1 page with no hot cues or any sort of looping.. I will look into it again though... I just mean I've seen some phenomenal ones for the old maschine and I'm wondering why they don't work / havent been re-done for the mk2

Masch r is amazing but not out on mk2 yet, should be soon though but osx only.

it does cost a little bit (10 or 20 pounds) but offers full control over all 64 slots on the remix decks via hidden pointer clicks, and extensive mapping, plus the developer is great and always asking for feedback for future updates.

if you have a mac well worth getting when its out on mk2 :)

the developer is called jiggle, if you post in the thread i linked he will keep you up to date im sure.

there is also a link in that thread for his homepage where you can buy it, it also will say when it comes out for mk2.

dont think he will release a windows version though as he only develops on osx i believe.

maybe a better option would be to customise your own. Its a bit fiddly at first but ultimately more rewarding.

I spent a weekend making my own with the traktor demo while waiting for my Komplete audio 6 to turn up only to find out KA6 comes with the tracktor LE version and doesnt allow mapping :(

however I did find a vestax 100 template with mappable CCs which I could customise and works a treat. (no hot cues though)

Spencer, thanks mate.. I have OSX thankfully ;) So i will def keep an eye out there...

    Fuselier -
I'm kind of confused as to how I should map my own.. Is there anyway to incorporate cross fader function into the master knob, or at least something of that nature... Any idea where I can look for tutorial as to how to make my own controller ?

Thanks for the help guys, <3

I always made my own and still do on other controllers but masch r is not just a mapping, it is an application that allows you full control over the remix decks via hidden pointer clicks.

the remix decks cannot be mapped so this app makes maschine replace an f1 controller and has additional mapping as a bonus

Unfortunately I only have Mk1 and successfully mapped the crossfader to my tempo rotary. Though I dont see any reason why you couldn't perhaps map it to one of the 8 rotaries at the top if the main encoder on MK2 is unmappable.

I think if you map the MK2 basic template then open up the preferences and start mapping your own from there. It'll take a while to get your head around whats going on there are probably tutorial;s on how to map your own templates I should think.

edit: after a quick look thru youtube it appears not. :(

I don't have Traktor though only the LE version and I have Mk1 so it'd be a poor tutorial and very unhelpful to anyone. :S
