    So here is whats happening

the 5th knob from the left underneath the screens is what seems to be sending continuous data

What ever parameter is selected just continually moves. if the mixer is open that fader will continually go up and down and jitter ,

it makes sampling impossible because the zoom just constantly flickers from full zoom in to full zoom out then randomly jumps to different zoom lengths. it also makes navigation in the browser unusable, it just randomly selects different sub category. IF I move the knob on the far right
(CC 115) the parameters under the aforementioned knob (CC 112) also move with it.

I have the latest firm ware, and Maschine Version, i was able to duplicate the problem on two different macs

    Current on MAC OS 10.14.6

any help to get this resolved, i do allot of sampling and sample manipulation with Maschine and its just unusable right now

Also if someone can direct me to the right link to start a repair/replacement ticket, i can't seem to figure out on the NI site

    thank you!!

This is a common issue. I had the same behaviour with the MK1. I think D-One (moderator) has a video on Youtube in which he fixes the knobs.

I would first try to pull out the encoder cap and carefully use a small vacuum cleaner to suck out any dust. But don't go nuts with a vacuum cleaner and only start an hour after disconnecting all cables from the MK3

Just as a disclaimer - I fully replaced a knob, desoldered it, and soldered in a new one; I did that because the knob felt really loose and I'm crazy... I dont advise anyone to do it unless they know what they're doing; it also might not fix this particular issue as it could be software related.

I've had the OP's fluctuating knob issue come and go over the years, I have no idea what causes it, sometimes it's pretty bad and makes some menus (like the Sampling one) completely unusable, I was never able to correctly point out what fixes it, it just fixes itself after a while, then comes back to haunt me... This makes it pretty hard to report. Do both Mac's have the same OS version?

I am no electronics expert by any means but I do know that potentiometers naturally fluctuate a little bit due to electrical interference, the software is supposed to handle it so try reinstalling, different USB port, cable, plug the power cord, give the knobs a ton of rotation.

Select HW Support then on the Wizard select "My HW is physically defected", I think that allows you to create a ticket.

Any other tips or potential fixes? Mine have been doing this for a long time but wasn’t even an issue as it barley effected the end result of a beat. Unfortunately now they are jumping like crazy. I don’t really know what to do about it at this point. Maschine is my main tool for making music and as of now I can barely chop samples
(which Is central to my music). Has NI attempted to correct this at all? It seems to happen randomly and I know if
I’m messing with the encoders a lot it will start up. Also, I started to recheck my start points (or any other parameter controlled by the encoders) before exporting because for a while I would export and everything would be messed up like the encoders we’re moving just prior and changed the final project. I’m really not trying to keep doing this as it’s Nearly impossible To work with if it’s having a bad encoder day. I’m trying to avoid sending this thing anywhere Unless it’s local.

Try to remove the caps and blast the insights with compressed air. There's probably some dust or debris stuck somewhere.

I bought a used mk2 that was in bad shape. All the knobs had drift. Some contact cleaner sprayed into each knob did the trick.

    Great news!
I noticed earlier this week one of the encoders showing erratic behavior potentially because of a buggy 3rd party plug-in. The software ended in a crash. I'm not 100% sure both are related. So as D-One already suggested, the crazy encoders might be software related too. But great to hear contact cleaner is a valid fix.

Does anyone know how to fix a half broken Function button? The most left one is not responding when pressed in the upper left corner. The click sound is still there, but the software isn't responding. I held it upside down and wiggled the unit a bit, blew in some human air but problem remains. I'm not willing to open it (yet).
Also the 4D knob sometimes goes crazy when in the mixer page. By just touching the knob, the UI ends up in a different mixer group sometimes. Very annoying
