    hi,

    Im trying to get my mk3 to trigger notes of my external synths within the maschine plugin. i have my prophet 6 directly connected to the maschine midi and also various other synths connected to my mac via usb. as the plugin only provides midi 'host' i assume it means all midi would need to be setup in ableton. i cant for the life of me get this to work. just want to be able to use the keyboard and chords scales to write midi in Ableton (within the maschine plugin). is this possible? i know you can drag the midi in via the plugin, but i dont want to use vsts to draft the sound, i'd rather go straight to my hardware synths.

    ok ive got a little further. i can get the maschine sequencer to control an external synth in ableton, but if i have 2 synths in on separate midi channels, it now triggers both external synths.

    in maschine;
    - sound 1 has midi input as host, and channel set to 1
    - sound 2 has midi input as host and channel set to 1

    in ableton:
    - track 1 has the maschine plugin
    - track 2 has an ext instrument set to channel 1, and then midi from Maschine plugin in the track routings
    - track 3 has an ext instrument set to channel 1, and then midi from Maschine plugin in the track routings

    however when i press a pad in sound 1, it triggers sound 2 and vice versa. is multi-midi possible? think the issue i can see if that the ableton track routings dont allow for different Maschine track inputs.

    I have exactly the same problem as ElRoberto. I would like to sequence my external Synths with the Maschine plugin in Ableton. In standalone modus, there is no problem - but really don't know how to fix it in the DAW.

    Yep it works!
    Follow the steps in the picture. And it's important to load MASCHINE2 as a VST in Ableton - not as a AU (Audio Unit).

    Cheers
